New evening EMH and crowds

We planned our days out a couple of months ago so we could do PS. Three of our days match the evening EMH scheduled while we are there. I am glad about that, but do you think this will make these parks more crowded in the day? Is anyone changing your plans to be at these parks that have extended hours during the day also? Thanks for any opinions.

This is obviously just a guess, but I think that the park with the evening EMH will definitely be more crowded during the day, though maybe not in the early morning. Only time will tell for sure!

Thats what I'm afraid of. I guess its easier just to stick with our original plans and see what happens. I probably would have planned around the late nights if I would have known in time. I did plan around the early morning hours. Oh well.

Well, it's always possible that many people won't be aware of them--because they don't DIS like us, LOL! :teeth:

Tell me if I am wrong on this, BUT heres my thinking....only people staing at a DW resort can stay for the evening EMH.....If all the resorts were at FULL capacity, and EVERYONE went at night...it still wouldnt be as many people as MNSSHP or MVMCP....if I remember the amount of rooms correctly. So Im thinking it might not be too bad, especially since there is usually also an EMH in the morning on most of the days as well.....I guess I am just trying to stay positive seeing as how I avoid crowds like the plague

Disney Resorts have accomodations for over 25,000 families.

MVMCP and MNSSHP tickets are limited, they can and do sell out. I've read that the party tickets are limited to under 15,000-20,000 though I don't think there's an "official" number to go by. E-Ticket nights are limited to a rumored 5,000 tickets.

I'm thinking alot of those who stay will find their young ones just can't hang in there and leave, and really the last hour or two will be fairly light. Just trying to stay positive.

Good point! I can't wait to see what happens and if they keep it permanently! Whether it's crowded or not more hours can't be anything but good! If it is more crowded and you or I choose to go to another park instead, that means there will be less people in that other park with us, right? And if it isn't too crowded in the EMH park then that will be terrific!!! :sunny:

Are they limiting the nu,ber of wrist bands they give out for the night EMH like they used to? I guess I was under the impression that they weren't limiting the numbers. If they are, I'm going to make sure I get to the wrst band stations early :earsgirl:

I was wondering how Disney would distinguish a resort-staying guest from another guest. Meaning - at normal closing time, do they have people walking around looking for wristbands, and if you don't have them, you have to leave the park?

Just curious!

I will be there during the test and I think the EMHs are going to be very crowded. There's only one morning per park, so people like me who stay for a week no longer have a choice of days.

In the evenings, I expect large crowds for the EMH parks that are open later than the other parks. I'm not sure about AK, as the other parks will still be open at that time. I expect to see a lot of people entering the MK at 9, or perhaps a couple hours earlier.

Right now we aren't sure about doing any EMH hours other than MK am one. We are thinking we will probably avoid the EMH pm park in the afternoon/evening. All this not knowing what to expect is making me - a total planner - a bit uneasy. I don't know what I'll do if they change things when I get there!

I don't think anybody knows how crowded the parks are going to be, not even Disney. If they did, then there wouldn't be any need for a test! You can bet that it will be more crowded than EE and less crowded than the park at mid-day, but beyond that who knows.

No one is going to be asked to leave the park, it is just, No Wrist band No Rides. They are fine with non resort guests staying to eat and shop.

I also think that it will be quite busy during MK EMH. We (and I'm sure a lot of others) have made it a point to STOP whatever we are doing to get to MK that evening. To us, that will be the hightlight of the week. What could be better than being at MK up to 3 hours after 9pm. Oh my goodness...I can't wait!!!!

I do hope, however, that it isn't too crowded.:hyper2:

thanks McCall

Is there a pill I can take to increase common sense???
