While on the Key's tour last week, my guide had said that a new pavillion would be added to future world. It is to be located between, the "Land" and Living "Sea"s . It will be the "Air" pavillion, a look into flight from it's beginnings to now. Perhaps this will include the long talked about "Soarin'" attraction, given it's obvious connection to flight. I am however giving this as much credibility as you can with any individual CM.

An air or weather pavillion would be cool. It could have the stormrider attraction from DisneySea.

Yes, and they are going to use the same movie for the first year or two. To save money on making a new one I guess.

Isn't the overall resort referred to as Disneyland now? This one still confuses me.

I think the overall name is 'Disneyland Resort', comprised of Disneyland (park), California Adventure, and Downtown Disney.

It is confusing, because if you just say 'Disneyland', you could be referring either to the park or to the whole resort. I think most people would think of the park.

To be even more precise...

The Disneyland® Resort includes:

  • Disneyland® park
  • Disney's California Adventure™ park
  • Downtown Disney® District
  • Hotels of the Disneyland® Resort

An intellectual property lawyer once told me that a trademark, service mark, or registered trademark must be used as an adjective, not as a noun. That's why it now has to be Disneyland® park, not just Disneyland®. And it's why it's the Downtown Disney® District.

Hello,

Just to add to the rumor, an aerospace company I used to work for was in talks with Disney for part sponsoring a new pavilion for aviation/weather related theme. (Not cheap though ).

:(

I didn't realize that. From now on I will be sure to go to the Wal-Mart&reg retail outlet to buy a Coca-Cola&reg carbonated beverage in my General Motors&reg Hummer&reg planet-destroying transportation system.

You've been told bad info. In fact, most good USPTO examining attorneys will make an applicant expressly disclaim descriptive terms like "park".
Mr. Scoop,

You might want to ask those United States Patent and Trademark Office examining attorneys of yours for an explanation of what they meant.

I agree that you would not claim a term like "park." In other words, you would not trademark Disneyland Park® or Disneyland® park®. You would leave "Park" or "park" without a trademark.

However, you would not use a trademarked name without a generic term for what that name refers to — that's why it's Disneyland® park, not just Disneyland®.

Excuse me, while I blow my nose with a Kleenex® tissue. There. That's better. Now where was I?

In these cases, Disneyland and Kleenex are adjectives, while park and tissue are nouns.

If you still disagree, please cite references to support your position.

Oh, and if you want references from me, please do a Google search on the phrase always use a trademark as an adjective.

The Disneyland® Resort includes:

- Disneyland® park

- That place they put in the parking lot so the annual passholders can go ride the two good rides when Disneyland gets too crowded but that no one else goes to see.

- Those shops they make you walk through just to get from the parking lot building thing and that's filled with those kind of dorky places that no one goes to even in South Coast Plaza and who wants wants to go to another Rainforest Cafe when there are like ten already around.

- The good old hotel except they took out the Neon Catus and made the monorail station all ugly and that other hotel that's way so far out there it's like walking from Costa Mesa and then that really big new hotel that looks like an office complex in Pasadena and you have to get a really cheap room if you're stuck over the shops and stuff.

...at least that's how us Californians describe the place.

OK, this shows my ignorance of the nuances of the keyboard,... Where the heck are you people getting that r with the circle around it icon? It's not on my keyboard!

Keystroke Alt 0169

or

another option is the following :
To open the Character Map utility Click on the Windows Start menu, on the lower left of your screen. Select Programs » Accessories » System Tools » Character Map. (OR click Start, Run, and type Charmap).

After choosing a font, double click the desired character(s), click on Copy, return to your document and paste.

Love it, but may I add that is also the place where one-time visitors and regular WDW attendees like to get free tortillas, sour dough and a glass of wine in a VERY quiet setting.

Thanks for the help with &reg . Didn't realize it was that easy!

Back to that Pavilion:
Any timetable on this??
Still waiting on the new pavilion(s) over at World Showcase---.

Uncleromulus,

Thanks for bringing us back.I was still hoping to hear something else from anyone regarding my original post (The New Air Pavillion). It's funny how these things can drift off topic.

A total of 8 of the 20 posts on this thread are actually related to the the subject.
