New Epcot parade?

Sorry for asking this as I'm sure it has been asked before but I'm not always on this board and just read the thread about TOD ending! Love my TOD/Illum. CD I bought last year! So.... what is next for Epcot parade? ANyone know??

From what I've heard, nothing in the near future coming as far as a parade around the world showcase. I heard of maybe some type of character interaction parade with characters maybe representing the countries around the world. The only dates I have heard though rumors was maybe fall 2004. I'm sure they will have more streetmosphere type activities going on to make up for the loss of ToD parade. I personally loved ToD and am sorry for it to leave.

Is this a cost cutting thing? It's hard to imagine an evening at WS without any kind of parade.

Tapestry of Nations was put in for the Millennium; Tapestry of Dreams was continued for the 100 Years of Magic celebration. Prior to that, there had never been an evening parade around World Showcase. So, there have been more years without than with! But in this case, TOD was always scheduled to close when the 100YOM celebration ended. This was a planned thing.

Personally, I thought that when the Food & Wine festival was going on that TOD should have been suspended as it became extremely disruptive to moving around and "experiencing" the FWF. I never cared much for TOD and am not all that disappointed to see it go. I think whatever they decide to replace it with, they should consider suspension of parades/modification of schedules around exisitng events. Esppecially FWF and the earlier closing times during that period. Even a change to 3 nights of parade vs every night would satisfy the group of people who are there to experience other parts of Epcot/World Showcase without getting all caught up in the parade and a general inability to walk around freely due to promenade/walkway closings.

We loved ToD and will miss it during our next trip. Saw it four times last time.

There was life before TOD and there will be life after it. I enjoyed the parade and saw it last week but the draw for me has always been Illuminations.

I agree with ToystoryFan...we never cared for the parade and found it very disruptive.
We were IN the parade too many times, trying to get from one place to another.
I realize many people enjoyed the parade and will miss it, but I don't think a parade is needed in the World Showcase.

I wish Nova Era would come back though!

I for one am glad to hear it has ended. It was almost impossible to get around WS while it was going on.

Add me to the group which is kinda happy it is gone..We watched it a few times and just were not excited about it, too long and kinda dragged out for our taste. It also tied up WS traffic considerably and it became impossible to get through small areas I do not think WS needs a parade, not the way it is built.
