New EPCOT Attration

We are leaving for BCV very soon and were wondering if the new EPCOT attaction, over by Test Track, is open.

The attraction, called Mission Mars, is NOT open yet.

The soft opening isn't until mid-August....I'm in the same boat as you. Going in early June, I guess I'll just stare at it a while, and then ride Test Track twice.

Mission Space is the name of the attraction. I'm sure you meant to write that, but it made me laugh as I thought of the old MK attraction Mission to Mars.

Oh my, what a Freudian slip! I meant Mission Space. Now, I'm actually thinking of Mission Mars, the movie. So bad was this, the "spaceship" was a large connective battery and "Ever-ready" could be clearly seen through the lime-green paint.

Mission:Space - Soft Opening August 15, 2003

Grand Opening October 2003!
Lake Buena Vista, Fla. (April 22, 2003) Al Weiss, president of the Walt Disney World Resort, announced today at Epcot that Mission:SPACE would be its soft opening on August 15, 2003. The attraction is set to officially open in October 2003, probably in time for the big media event around October 9. Husband and I just returned from our trip and we did see the date of 8/15/03 like Dnzefreek posted. It is so sad because it is completed, including fast pass machines so we were hoping they may open it early but no luck

Little hint on Test Track - since we seemed to always miss getting a Fast Pass (for some unknown reason, they were always gone by 5pm or so), we used the single rider line. You get right in in about 15 minutes or less and usually, you get to ride ride in back of each other. Good luck

i know the soft opening isn't until august, but has anyone gotten to ride this as a test? we are going in just a week and are disappointed we will miss it. has anyone been picked to try it out?
