New England Patriots Fans...

Jambo, please read the above posts.

Yea I disagree with that which is why I didn't reply to it.

The penalty occurred on the play where Brett got hurt. Then Tavaris came in, got the TD. Then the 2 pt conversion (at least 2 or 3 minutes) after the penalty. Brett was still being looked at on the sidelines. So about 5 minutes after the penalty call, they finally cart Brett off the field. That's when the booing was.:thumbsup2

wow what a classless bunch of folks at the stadium today. Favre just got carted off the field with what might be a broken jaw and the Patriots fans were booing him. Un-friggin-believable!!!
I'm assuming you were there and know for sure that they were in fact booing Favre being hurt and not the call on the field?

Wow, you're awfully defensive!

Brett is this you??

Look you are either a huge Favre fan or a hugh Vikings fan, so be it, they lost, accept it and move on. :headache:

3 pages of a thread about fans booing Favre ... it happens, every weekend, at every football, baseball, basketball, hockey game, fans boo. Deal with it.

EDIT/ FOUR PAGES about booing Favre. :headache:

Sorry to disappoint the Favre lovers, but if they were happy about him getting hurt, they would have been cheering as he left the field, not booing.

They were booing the penalty call that had nothing to do with Favre.

The penalty call happened 5 minutes before Favre was carted off. So you're telling me the audience boo'd for 5 straight minutes? Not a chance! Unless I went deaf for the first 4 minutes and then suddenly regained my hearing for the 5th.

Yes we were booing at the old coot. Grampa got what was coming to him. I wouldn't doubt Belichick told his players to make sure they break the old goat's hip or something.

BOO! :rotfl:

I think you can't actually judge the timing of events on and off the field via the editing on your TV. Unless you were there and could see everything, you can't say what the timing was.

I thought for sure his foot would fall off at some point in the game.

It's not difficult. They boo'd at Brett's injury and I'm going to stop posting on this thread now.

:lmao: I can't help it - this post really cracked me up

If they did, so what? The man's a joke. I wish he would have been carted off the field sooner.

And if the multi gazillionaire can't handle a couple boos, he's in the wrong sport.

As a huge fan of the other type of "football" I'll say that I've done my fair share of wishing harm and raining insults down upon opposing players. It's the culture and nature of various sports. I don't think it says anything about the fans, since, as far as I'm concerned, I have stadium behavior and home behavior (it goes hand in hand with how I learned the difference between stadium language and home language). :rotfl:

It's no big deal. Brett is a big boy and he should take it like David Beckham. On a recent trip to Philadelphia, ol' Becks had insults and all sorts of vulgarity rained down upon him...if he got injured I'm certain the place would have erupted in cheers. His response (taken from a news article about the match)?

"Without a doubt, it is the way it should be," Beckham said. "That is the atmosphere in Europe when you go to an away game, and I really enjoyed it."

I've known it all along new england and boston in general... It's just a classless area. My friend visited boston last november 2009.
She was cat called and swore at because she had on a new york yankee cap.

On the tour of fenway park ... Teh tour guide made snide remarks about her and her cap.

She had a good comeback regardingthe amount of penants new york won vs boston. Tour operated never said a word to her the rest of the tour.

Hope new england goes down the tubes the rest of the season.
