I'm packing and can't decide if I should dig out the ears we got last time to take with us. Just wondering what othrs do...

Do your old ears have a special sentimental value to you? If not, then I'd just bring the ears you have. They're pricey, something that most people don't wear very often, and if you happen to find a pair you like better, you can always buy them and pack your old ones away again. :) But I'm awfully cheap. If you really want two sets of ears, then go for it!

If they're a special souvenir and/or you collect ear-hats, then I would leave them at home for safekeeping. I don't know how many people actually lose ears at the park but I know my brother lost his favorite hat (my dad says that was on It's a Small World of all rides!). So I wouldn't want to wear a hat that I really cared about.

(Whatever you do, just be sure to take them off on Soarin', or else Patrick Warburton will be sad. )

So far hats are the souvenir that's wanted...the cheap side of me thinks, "Who needs another Buzz/Zurg/Goofy/Wizard/Princess hat?? We'll just bring our old ones to wear!" But everytime it seems they are the ones that "need" a new hat. :rolleyes1

Meanwhile....I'm bringing my Tink hat bc I never wear it & I'm not shelling out the cash for another one. That's my cheap side talking. :rotfl:

I say do whatever feels right. I'm bringing my hat but giving the kids free reign w/ their weird hat obsession.

depends on the budget. I have christmas ears with my name on it, I always take it. Sometimes I buy the kids new ears if they want something extra special

We buy a set of ears each trip as a souvenior so if you'd enjoy another pair around the house leave them at home and get new ones.

We collect ears :lmao: but we don't take the old ones with us, we get new ones.

Even from when I was a child, I have a pair of Mickey ears with my name on it from every trip! Well every trip EXCEPT Disneyland Paris, they didn't have ears!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was very very upset, :lmao:, they had beanies with ears and ear muff ears and headband with ears, but none of the traditional style of mickey ears hats, but a friend was there recently and said they have them now, so they should! :rotfl2:

Each new pair we get are not the same, this last trip was our first Christmas trip and we got the ears with the christmas hat on top and one got the snowman ears. We have pirate ears, princes ears. Now we get the year on them too.

They are really just dust collectors now as we don't wear them. They are just a little tradition and I just can't stop, :rotfl: I'm an ear addict :rotfl2:

The kids get new ears every time we go. That's their souvenier of choice! They collect them! lol Like some others have posted, it has become a tradition for us. :)

I'm just trying to convince DH to get ears. 3 trips and he has yet to get any. :confused3 I have one set because my family bought me one as a thanks for planning the trip. It is princess ears with a veil. DD has 2(traditional and princess one with a veil).

I have only worn mine 1 trip. Took it along on the trip in October but I sprayed pixie dust on my hair every day and preferred that look to wearing my ears.

One of these days I will just buy myself and hubby traditional ears and be done with it.

I personally always bring my ears from home. I don't think it is a matter of being cheep by I am attached to my current pair and cannot see the need for another set.

The kids bring to wear on the plane ride to WDW but we also usually get what ever new ears they may have. You can never have too many ears!!:yay:

I bring mine from home. I usually wind up buying a sweatshirt or tee in the park, so I only have the one set of ears.

I buy a new hateach visit. I thought about taking one of the ones off the shelf at home with me last trip, but I really wanted to make my own so I did that instead. Honestly, that has turned out ot be my least favorite thus far. lol

I will bring their old ears next time we go, we got them new ones last year and while getting new ears every time is fun they don't wear them anywhere but DL so might as well get some use out of them!

We bring old light spinners, hats, ears,Tshirts and sweatshirts. It makes the kids feel part of the fun. That way they have something Disney for everyday and we don't have to spend as much money. They know that they get another souvenir when they go so they "really" shop and look for the just right thing.
