Exclusive or not, the price point is way too high. But I also think it is just plain sad that Disney is pricing out families for these types of events. Would probably be a fun thing for this family of four, but for $1,000? Are they HIGH?
Call me naive, but I have a feeling these up charging events are not going to be as successful as people expect. I doubt many first time guests would fork out that kind of money for what they see as a theme park experience and they are very rapidly marginalizing those of us that know better, and realize that most of these were things we used to be able to get for free. There will be some interest, but I'm not sure there will be enough to sustain these things.
And if there is, they will only prove that some people have more money than sense. $1000 goes a long way in the real world. $100 per person... maybe. $250... And I have to decide who gets to enjoy it? NOT A CHANCE.
I truly can't see us doing any of these events. Heck, we dropped the dessert party at MK which my kids loved just because Disney got too greedy. I can take them to the confectionary and let them spend $100 on anything they want and enjoy that more. And this from a family that fishes, golfs, eats TS daily, and over-indulges a LOT on the extra charge stuff that still carries value in WDW.
