New DVC????

Someone told me today that they heard the Disney was going to be building a new vacation club in the Magic Kingdom area...does anyone know if this is true???

My guess is that it is the same old Contemporary rumor making the rounds again. The next DVC announced to be built after SSR, is Eagle Pines, which will be at the Eagle Pines Golf course.

The only known resort is the one at Eagle Pines which originally was going to be built before SSR, but then was moved back and put on hold.

No definitive news on whether Eagle Pines will ever be built or not.

If built, EP would be the 2nd closest to the MK (VWL would still be closer), but still a ways away. It would be next to the Eagle Pines golf course, over near the Fort Wilderness campground.

Any chance this is the resort your source was referring to?

They have no idea where the resort was going to be just that there might be a new one in the Magic Kingdom area!!

Does anyone know of any plans to build one in Aneheim near Disneyland?

Pardon my ignorance but I was in WDW shortly after Eagle Pines was announced. I played a round of golf on Eagle Pines and right next to the course there was alot of construction going on there. I assumed that was the DVC project. What did they do? Did they just stop construction and the half built units are just sitting there. Was I wrong in assuming that it was the DVC?

No clue but was told by my guild that only reason they put Eagle Pines on hold and went with SSR was that with everything already clearned they could start construction right away and they were running out of units to sell and that Eagle Pines would take alot longer to build but that they still have it in the plans but would hold it off till SSR got alot closer to being done. So unless DVC slows down and doesn't keep growing like it seems to be Eagle Pines will be the next DVC built.
