New DVC Tower near the Contempory Rumor ???

We just got back from our latest trip to WDW. On one of our trip on the Express Monorail to MK we were sitting in the drivers cabin and noticed that the North wing of the Contemporary was being torn down. We mentioned that we wondered what was going on, and the driver said that it was being torn down for a 14 story Vacation Club tower. Later that week when we took our DVC tour (considering buying into SSR). We asked our guide about it, and she denied any knowledge.

Any thoughts.

This is a rumor that's been spreading and growing over the past few months...especially with the North Wing being torn down and the photo someone found of a CR DVC tower on an architects website (that was then quickly taken down), and finally the permits regarding the DVC that were also found. That is a permit for modifications to the water system for a proposed new structure, Basically the very early stages of a constriction site which could have 100's of changes before its actually approved, With the Demo and seeing this permit, I would say the chances of seeing a new resort are very good and with the money and power that WDW has it can be done rather quickly if they wanted.

I was on the phone with the DVC the other day to let them know that I received my paperwork. The CM mentioned the AKV and I said "they sound really nice but I'm holding out for the CR DVC" he responded by laughing and saying "I have no comment".

After I bought my AKV add-on my mom asked me "do you think you are ever going to miss staying at a monorail resort" Hopefully not for very long Ma!
