New Dvc preview center

I know that Morocco no longer uses their space on the WS so I guess this means Canada doesn't either??

It actually makes sense as right now to see one of the models is to leave the theme parks. This way, you just see the room while you are at Epcot. It is easier for the potential buyer and Disney Vacation Club. No more using the vans to transport the potential buyer back and forth.

I think it’s kind of sad. Shouldn’t that space be used to inform guests of Canada? Now it’s space at Disney to inform people of Disney time share, when there are DVC kiosks all over the place. Is there no companies that want to rent space and sell products? One has to wonder why no one else is utilizing the space?

They had to do something with the space. It's been sitting empty for an awful long time. If it's the space I am thinking of, waaaaaaay back when it used to be shops—Anne of Green Gables and other stuff. That's been forever ago now. If we're all honest, the Canada Pavilion (and others) have declined slowly for many years.

I wonder if they are considering a non-park DVC expansion in Canada.
Iger recently stated categorically they are not looking at any non-Park DVC expansions in the near future unfortunately. But maybe that still leaves room open for a Paris, Japan etc expansion which we would love.

Well, at close to $200 for a day ticket at Epcot, not sure why people would use time to visit a sales center. When we’ve done this with other companies they paid us to come hear their pitch - not the other way around.
I actually disagree with this. If you think about it most people that are doing these tours are there on vacation already, so their park tickets are already purchased and are a sunk cost. Currently you have to leave the parks, go to the showroom over at SSR and take that transit time out of your day. This way you just walk in to a building in Epcot and immediately enjoy the rest of your day. To me, it makes the most sense for it to be this way vs outside of the parks. Not that I wouldn’t have preferred them to do something better with the space, just saying I think this makes logical sense for them.

You are only paying that if you do a one way ticket. For someone there 5 to 7 days, it’s not going to cost that.

And, it might be a nice way to take a little break mid day if you in the park.

Maybe they’ll offer those who tour a one time LL pass or something to offset the time?

Honestly, having a park location seems like a good option!

As some folks have mentioned, I totally understand the fatigue with DVC in-park advertising and propaganda. It is just about everywhere you look. I don't think DVC deserves a poke in the eye on the Canada pavilion preview center. Selling timeshares is literally why DVC exists.

I believe Epcot and Disney Parks leadership deserve a poke in the eye for not coming up with a way to install a viable shop/bar/restaurant/experience/etc. in the pavilion for over twenty years. That's the real missed opportunity, decades in the making.

So, as banal as some may find it, at least a lot of Epcot dead space will be utilized for something useful.

Very true. Although I'm sure the number of single-day ticket Epcot guests on any given day has to be a very small percentage of guests.
