marymrg~ Yes, that is how I received my "free rental" coupon for the Pal Mickey, in my Welcome Home packet at the Boardwalk Villas! But for those who want to try him before you buy... anyone can rent for $8 per day. They just charge a refundable deposit to your credit card and off you go!

madge~ I'm sure that was ME who told you not to check spg.com. Everytime I did I had a heart attack and a different rate. The cooler heads in this group steered me in the right direction and all ended well for our stay! I just had to pack SOMETHING, just to make sure I was really going! You'll be finished cleaning before you know it and ready to be there... I know I am!

I'm no dr so I'll leave that to the professionals, but I agree with the other moms on this thread. We do have an instinct for our kids and I would keep mine tuned to her channel... I know, I know... I can hardly believe it myself! I had a little dog, named Jazz (a "Benji" dog, if you remember the movie) and we thought we looked so cute trotting up the field at the end of the 1/4 mile dragway at the Gator Nationals. Those cars were SO loud when they passed us... I looked down and my leash was swinging in the air... My dog? Running with forepaws between hind legs (RE: FAST!) in the opposite direction! I had NO CLUE!

ON TOPIC, ON TOPIC?? SPEAKING OF CARS.... If you have Handicapped Tags, or a handicap sticker/placard, the resort will waive the $10 daily valet parking fee. But, don't forget to tip the valet for their service!

It was a minor affliction, yet the Dolphin was amazingly accomodating. They were not charged anything for the TC, which waited for them at the Hospital until they were discharged. The fees were minor. They were extremely impressed.

ON TOPIC~I made tentative PLANE ressies for our WDW VACATION next summer! I'll finalize them this weekend. First Class, Delta, LAX to MCO. At present, the only non-stop is being offered on the new DELTA SONG carrier. Since there is no FC, it's not an option. So...we'll be on the 767's through Atlanta on the way there, and through Dallas on the way home. Hopefully, another non-stop will open prior to next summer, as I much prefer these flights. I'm VERY excited over this achievement. One down...one hundred to go! NEXT STEP....this week, DOLPHIN SUITE RESERVATION!!

*BOUGHT DD's CAR TODAY~we pick it up Friday afternoon in Torrence. It's a Cyber Green GLS 2004 Turbo with black/green leather seats, CD player, 17" rims, Sunroof, custom tail, and all the other bells and whistles. It has "11" miles on it! We got a great deal, just under $26G. She is beside herself...and can not wait until Friday. I'm going to want it for myself...and will probably end up getting a Turbo S convert. for moi (LOL).

On Saturday, it will be in the shop for LIMO tint, and some other distinctive options (Daisy Rims, sec. chip and different tail lights, etc.). Should only take a couple of hours. Whew...I feel better now. The stress of Searching was taking a toll. Also, as of OCT. 1st...registration is TRIPLING here in Cali. So...I save 2/3 on that for one year. I was able to put $3000.00 on my SPG PLAT. CC!! But, due to laws, that's the MAX permitted (LOL). Now...she is trying to decide on her personalized plate. Our truck has NOTYDOG on the plate (for our big Baby MAC!).

DD also brought home print-outs today of her current (standing) grades in her classes. Nothing below a "97%", all honors/ap... (EVEN THEO Mouseteacher!). She's very proud of herself, and this should help with auto insurance.

Now...all I want for Christmas is a Tiffany's/Harry Winston or DeBeers ETERNITY Diamond ring, some Disney trinkets...etc. LOL...is that TOO much to ask?!?

Hi everyone- our trip is quickly approaching and I have a few questions remaining, I just know some of you experts will have the info!

Does anyone know the status of renovations at the Dolphin? I am hoping to upgrade to CL with points, and am wondering if there is any difference in the appearance of CL and standard rooms?

I spoke to the front office today about needing a frige for my medicine, and needing it plugged in and cold upn arrival, the med needs to be stored between 35and 45 degrees. They said they could not promise our room would be ready in the am, but that they would refrigerate it for me in the employee frige! I hope the room is ready anyway, the medicine is very expensive and I'd rather store it in the room.

During our conversation I inquired about CL avail, she said there was some, and that they aren't providing comp upgrades to CL anymore.

isn't that funny? Paul told me this morning that it's all subject to availability....of course I was specifically asking about a status upgrade for SPG Gold. who knows?

A few days ago, DD and I were assembling a bracelet for my niece's birthday gift. We found that I was better at removing links and she is better at attaching them! Go figure. My daughter has the little tool, but I kept poking myself with it. I think it's one of those "practice makes perfect" deals. You'll get the hang of it..........eventually.

I bought one for each of the girls and myself last Jan..during my solo trip....I was better at putting them on then the girl at the counter...she managed to mange the link...

DD update : Emergency room visit this morning...woke up in sever pain..called DR...actually spoke with the DR we saw yesterday....he sent us to the ER...ended up doing blood work and an ultra sound of overies and apx....no problems...so, back to the bigging...ER doc said to try gastro doc...to see if we could find out the problems....so once again no answers and DD is still have major discomfort on a regular basis...mom still frustrated....

Have them investigate appendix again. Some years ago I had recurring pain that no one could seem to diagnose until an old experienced Dr. touched my stomach in the right place and said- acute appendicitis. By the time my parents got me to the hospital ( we had been regularly for about 2 weeks, usually at night) my appendix ruptured. By God's grace only, I'm still here.

It may not be your DD problem, medical testing has improved, but I didn't have much time to be on the boards lately and saw your posts and would feel bad if I could be helpful and didn't.

Zurgswife- hope your DD gets well soon- I am an RN and I am concerned re the prolonged diagnostic phase and seemingly worsening symptoms. Did the ER discharge her in acute pain? Why didn't they get a gastro consult? I will pray for you both.

On topic: What is the difference between club level rooms and standard rooms beside floor location??

Also, I got a call from Starwoods conceirge tonight, offering me the 10,000 pt Sheraton Vistana Village tour. I seem to recall some of you, DF perhaps might have done this and can tell me if it was ok, or very painful???

Okay, ladies. I am defintely a mechanical moron with this bracelet. (Thank you for trying, DF99, but even with the website I didn't get it!) I can see which end is the "hooking" side. But how to you get the other side to hook to anything? Am I supposed to push or slide something that I can't see. I will play with it more later.. It's now time to get back to the taxes while the light is still shining at the end of the tunnel!

Oh, Mouseteacher... I am so ashamed to admit, that I have not joined the ranks of the Laptop owners! I would LOVE one, but cannot really justify it since I have 2 computers at home and one at work. Plus, I can borrow one from work for conventions, etc.. (Which I'm planning on doing for the Pittsburgh Water Conference..) This time I am going to try to take a small voice recorder, to jot down notes and impressions and make it easier for a trip report. Does anyone have any scoping they want me to do? It is easier "Scoping Solo"..

Zurgswife - Praying for you!!! I would be freaking about now.

This is a REALLY long shot, but is there any chance she could actually have a UTI? (Urinary Tract Infection). My daughter has had severe problems with them for years - even went thru surgery, etc. However, at one point the UTI's mimic'd everything but a UTI!!! The ER Dr luckily was used to dealing with her and one time he was sure she had strep or an ear infection - he tested her for 3 other things and finally just tried the UTI test for the heck of it. Guess what - the UTI was acting like everything but what it was - she had no pain when going to the bathroom at all that time!!! I didn't realize it had the capability to do that but it was an eye opener! I was just glad the Dr that was familiar with her was working - otherwise I'm sure an on-call one would never have ordered the UTI test.

On topic - hmmmmmm........Take a nice walk in the evening to the ESPN Club on the Boardwalk - have the Nacho appetizer for a meal - it's wonderful.
