Madge ~ Your almost there, 10 days and counting down :) Did you decide where to use your breakfast vouchers? I am so confused on where they are accepted.

Everyone sounds busy busy busy with school starting :)

Dreamflight ~ I am just taking in all the good advice here on the car situation. I have not thought a lot about it, but my oldest DD is 13 so... My DH has always wanted to get her VW bug, we play the "slug bug" game in the van with her all the time. She has recently said she would like to have a Jeep.. so we will see. My DH was an only child.. He got a new Chevrolet Blazer for his first car. He still had it when we met, got married, had first baby and brought her home in it So lets see the car we buy our children could be the car they bring our grandchildren home from the hospital in  LOL but seriously I think there is something to be said about security and safety in a vehicle.

On topic: Let's see... My girls enjoyed the playground area at the Dolphin and the spraying seal, I believe it was a seal correct me if I am wrong :D

Have a great day, sorority sister wave to all of you !

Face Painting at Magic Kingdom in Toontown and The "Bug's Life" show at Animal Kingdom. I could not resist taking a photo before we turned in our bug glasses :)

Madge - the only place I saw them today was Target. The boys dept. and girls dept. both had cute short sleeve $4.00 t-shirts. Babies/Toddlers only had long sleeve t-shirts and sweatshirts. The smallest in the girls was a 4 but it looked smaller than that to me. If your Target store doesn't have them out, ask an associate because they might be in the stock room.

Negative on Wal-Mart, JCPenney, Lord&Taylor and Kaufmann's. (May company stores)

The only other stores I can think to call would be K-Mart or Sears.

Ahhhh... the building has cleared out and peace reigns in my office --- Time to DIS!

We have wireless (cable access) and our house was built in 1930s. No problems - both DSs have computers in their bedrooms. The router is near our main computer in our family room.

madge~ Take deep breaths ~~~~~ You are going to Disney World and the Swan!!!!! :bounce:

Kohl's usually has Halloween T-shirts at reasonable prices - do you have Kohl's near you? I don't know about late October weather. I was in WDW one year during the Columbus Day weekend and it was just as hot and humid as the summer.

Thanks for looking, Mary! I am going to stalk that store daily! not that it's a hardship or anything, I LOVE target :) :) Our store only has long-sleeved shirts for the boys and not a thing in the infant/toddler dept. I have renewed hope now that someone has actually seen short-sleeved shirts! I think we are stopping at the exit that has the Super Target on our way from MCO (on topic: to the DOLPHIN :)). I guess I can check there!

I bought 2 adult vouchers from hotwire/connections, so I now have a grand total of 6 adult vouchers. I am going to split them up between 2 breakfasts (and pay for Carter's breakfast). I would love to eat one breakfast at the Crystal Palace, but the Paramount vouchers don't list it as a choice. However, there are people on the budget board that have had success using them at restaurants that aren't listed. We will likely use them at Chef Mickey's (definitely) and either Cape May Cafe, 1900 Park Fare, or the Polynesian.

*laughing uncontrollably*
Nothing anyone said, but what they didn't say. I grew up thinking you had to wear a snow suit for Halloween!

Zurgswife>> Thank you for the input! You also will have the "many walls/hallways" as we do. If we went wireless, the dogs couldn't chew through the cords, either! :)

Has anyone tried target.com? Maybe they have their Halloween collection online. If they don't I am sure it will be soon! *short sleeve t-shirts... hahahahahahhaah*

Off to hockey,
Debbie

LOL - I live in NY - and they are showcasing short sleeve Halloween T-Shirts. Madge will probably get our selection of Halloween turtlenecks and fleece. It's a good Halloween if we don't have a few inches of snow. :D

Thanks SO much for your input. DD initially wanted a Jeep as well, but DH did not. So...he talked her out of that one (unsafe test rating, etc.). I have to agree with you...safety, is the #1 consideration. The HUMMER 2 is beginning to look like a pretty nice choice, although DD would rather ride a bike! (LOL). Too military, boxy and masculine for her. VW Bug will have Daisy Rims, and probably magnetic Flowers in it! A REAL LOVE BUG! ;)

Adorable PICS of the KIDS/FAM! ^_^

LOU~You are a RIOT!

#1hockeymom~Good pitch for wireless, Dogs chewing cords...ROTFL! Come on LOU...where's the one picturing THIS?!?

madge ~I'm already an "official Target Stalker", and my AMEX CC reflects the charges to prove it...LOL. I practically LIVE in the Super Target. I can fill prescrips, buy groceries, and a new water cooler, all in ONE PLACE! It's my #1 fav. spot to stop/shop.

Welll...IXNAY on putting the new car on the AMEX card! I was dreaming of all the SPG/Skymile points too. DARN! They couldn't really explain why...but did say they do not charge more than $5G at a time. Maybe I could buy it in increments? :p

TTFN.... DF99

Did you say Super Target? We don't have one of those here...yet... but boy would I love one of those!

LOL, #1HM. Halloween in Boston area means winter coats over your costume. A little too early for snow but definitely not too early for cold temps! And... it's dark, too - DST.

Trick or Treating in WDW and a stay at the Swan sounds heavenly right about now. :D

Mouseteacher -- No Target Greatland? -- home all of things essential from rain ponchos to cereal bars to disney cd's to stickers to cheap t shirts to glo bracelets. How do you plan a trip to DisneyWorld without one? Next you are going to tell me that you don't have a Costco to buy items that you really don't need in bulk. LOL. BTW, in Chicago we have the same problem with having to wear coats over costumes. Last year I designed costumes that were big enough to fit over coats to get around that problem.

Listening with interest to all of your car comments -- my oldest is only 7 but all of this could come in handy some day.

Anyway, time to start packing up my briefcase. Have relaxing evenings everyone.

Lauren

:D Lauren - Yes. we do have Costco and BJ's, too. Maybe our Target is a super Target after all - I do believe it says Greatland. I just didn't realize that's what it meant. :o
I do love Target or as we (in jest) pronounce it Tar/zsh/et- a faux French prounciation. ;)

I am still waiting for our first Super WalMart to open. Yes, I love WalMart and I'm not ashamed to admit it!

LOL, my best friend got married on October 30, aout 10 years ago. She planned this lovely, indoor/outdoor reception so everyone could enjoy the fall leaves...it snowed 3 inches that day! We still laugh about it :)

Lauren

I went in a Target Greatland store, once. It was heavenly! Ours is just a regular Target, but I love it. Ours doesn't even have a Pharmacy. My only gripe is that because it is such a small store, things get picked over very quickly. NO ONE waits for a sale, ever!

No Costco here in Kentucky, either. Is it like a Sam's? I know what a Sam's is, but we don't have one here. I know there's one store that Mouseteacher has that I am so jealous about--The Christmas Tree Shop! I have a friend in Boston and she tells me about that place...what bargains there are :)

Hallween is usually moderately chilly--the sun goes down so early, so even if it's warm--it cools off fast!

hey, I'll take it at this point-just SOME sign of the Fall holidays would be nice :)

Madge....Yeah isn't hardship for me to go to Target ...LOL

mouseteacher...

Same for me...I have regualar Target but not a Super.

We don't have Super Walmarts...either...I feel deprived

Target Greatland is usually one of the places we stop from the Orlando Airport on the way to BWV

My Christmas Trip is only 94+ days...I can't wait....besides 10 days at the BWV...I will be spending 3 days in a 2 Bdrm Exec Suite at the Dolphin....can't wait....!!! I'm wondering are the pools warm at the Dolphin in the winter or should I just hope for a quick dip in the hot tub...Do they have a hot tub????

OK Disbug...I'd be really really jealous if you didn't live in florida.....great countdowns...:):):)

And, speaking of driving, there's a funny post on the "have you ever had a shock at Disney" thread. (or something like that) Someone checked into the All-Stars one night really late and ended up parking behind the taxi cab that was parked on the sidewalk. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?threadid=364890&goto=newpost

THANK YOU!!! I lost that thread. I was sure I had subscribed to it, but I still couldn't find it.

Don't worry Zurgie, I don't have a Super WM either. They built one 30 minutes one direction (45 for me from home), 30 minutes another direction (40 for me from home) - but not in town!!! And now the piece of property they were looking at for a Super (we have a regular), is in the middle of a lawsuit. The property was annexed to the City and removed from a local township. Supposedly, the City 'bribed' them to come in (which is not legal). So now citizens of the township are filing suit to bring the property back in.

Aw geez - I'm the one that started nagging us to stay on topic - then I have to come back and edit just to do it!

RE: Car Rental - Is it available at Swan or only at Dolphin? Approx cost for a normal mid-size car for a day?

(My aunt will probably fly down for a few days and join us - it would be nice to go splorin'.)

I swear that countdown clock isn't moving........

My friend stayed at the Dolphin last Christmas and only used the hot tubs. She said it was a fast run back to the room! She thought it was too cold to swim, even though the pools are heated.

No Supertarget (tar' ghez - right mouseteacher) here either.

Good morning, all. "Back to School Night" tonight so a busy day and evening.

I didn't realize Super Target is called Target Greatland. So, yes, we do have Super Target.

Christmas Tree Shop - about 10 minute drive from my house! :D

I'm not sure about a car rental kiosk in the Swan (I didn't notice one but then I wasn't really looking for one) but definitely one in the Dolphin. How's that for staying on topic? ;)
