Debbie~ I am so happy that your plans for Easter have come to a reality! Could you drive over to WDW from Tampa to spend a day in a park? I have stayed at my dad's, he's about 20 minutes south of Tampa, and I have driven over to WDW. I just can't be that close and NOT go! For such a short stay -I was only doing an overnight- I stayed POR.

Surely~I prefer the view closer to the Epcot side, looking out over the FRONT of the Center tower (when actually ON CL). You can actually see BOTH MGM and EPCOT from this area. The CM should know where these rooms are located.

OK...I'm asking for pixie dust for a good thing...First everybody is doing great....

Now the Pixie Dust request..

My oldest DD has a friend that she is close to....this friend lives in Toronto...well yesterday I had the brilliant idea of inviting this friend to join us after Christmas Day (about the 28th) during our trip. We had invited another friend last year for this trip but the plans fell through. Any how....I'm asking for good thoughts that this crazy idea can be pulled off It is a long shot...short notice ...about 45 days....money issue...her dad is a minister and that means low funds....they live in toronto.....But I'm hoping that Tinkerbell will be shining on us to make this come true..

Both girls would really love to spend quality time together as they only see each other about once a year when the friend comes to town in the summer months....

I email her mom this morning with the idea ....i even found cheaper airfare...but it does mean a 2hr drive to Buffalo...but it is non stop from there to orlando....

I'm soo excited I can't stand it....chances are slim....but there is always a chance...

Sending P and PD for your daughter's friend! You might also want to check the rates for DTW. It would be a slightly longer drive to get to the airport but depending on where they have family that option might be reasonable.

So glad to hear everyone is healthy! I was worried with the first few words. Must be a mom thing!

ZW - Pixie dust being spread!! A lot of people drive here from Toronto and vice versa. It is a pretty easy commute. If they have never done it, feel free to PM me and I can help them work out the details.

I think this would be great for your daughter. I can read the potential excitement in your note!

Glad things are working out, ZW!

I talked with my mom today and...

we're going to Disney World! She'll be driving up on Saturday to Tampa and picking me up. She's never been to the world EVER *gasp!* so I let her pick her resort of choice. Being on a safari interested her so I grabbed up AKL *my treat, but FLA discount rates!* We're pool view right now, and it was the only thing available when I called, so please think positive PD thoughts for that fabulous giraffe view upgrade!

To keep this on topic, I am planning on taking her to Palio for dinner so I can show her her grandkids favorite resort and her DD's favorite place to be!

I have never been in AKL so this will be new for both of us!

You and your mom will LOVE AKL. We have stayed here twice and it is my DD's favorite. DH and I enjoy AKL too but prefer the Dolphin because of location among other things. There is no denying the thrill of seeing the animals from your balcony! There are also many viewing spots at AKL to enjoy. I am so happy for you! I am sending tons of pixie dust. Please let them know it is a mother and daughter trip!~ Call a few days ahead. I know you will have a wonderful time. It is just around the corner!

Not "OZ" here....but may I? EVERYTHING!! But, please....be sure to begin with DESSERT! The little "mousse" mountains (forget the name) drizzled with white/dark chocolate are amazing. The aromas of the room are incredible...and the entire atmosphere (rustic & dark, with high ceilings) is so enticingly RELAXING. It's a MUST!

*P.S. DD is to go in early am for all four wisdom teeth extracted. Send some P.D., please. She's a bit anxious. She has been drinking Pineapple juice, as everyone insists it helps to reduce the swelling/pain associated with this surgery.

LOTS of PD for your DD. If I had videotaped poor DS when he had it done I could have blackmailed him for years. He would not have a local - had to have full knock-out. He was in never-never land for hours!!! Poor boy.

I loved my dinner at Palio's. I did peek in at Boma's when we visited the AKL. It was lunch time and it was busy. Obviously, a pretty popular place. Hmmmm... *writing Boma's on my "must do" list.
