You sure you looked real close?

;)

Thanks, I see it now... I should have looked this morning first.... your quick and a step ahead of me :D

The yearbook is so much fun! :D

Ozziewags~ I love your charm braclet. This may be a silly question but can the Disney charms be purchased only at WDW.
DD had one and I would love to add some "Disney magic" to hers.

Anyone else finding this site a bit "slow" lately--- or is it just me:confused:

Disbug, come in! :D

One quick question for you. You mentioned in your Swan report that you went to Mass at the Shrine. Did you go on Saturday evening? We've always gone on Sunday morning but I think Saturday will work out better for me and the two youngins' this trip. Was it really crowded? I know the Church fills up...........but my concern is the traffic jam on the road leading there. We didn't have problems in May but have had problems on Palm Sunday and Easter in the past. Of course, those are very busy times. Although Labor Day weekend might be a busy time as well, I don't think it will equate to the Easter crowd. Thanks!

splash ~ You can get the Disney charms on- line @ "ducks and dolls" (I think that's what it's called) website. Kohl's has the charms but I haven't checked to see if they have Disney ones.

Good morning everyone!

Nothing to say - but I noticed I was one post away from 200, so I thought I'd get number 200 on this thread.

Now back to work...

Mouseteacher - thanks for the reminder about the charms. (and also where to purchase them!) Did you buy yours in Italy in Epcot? My daughter has a Zoppini charm bracelet but no Disney links. Oh the shame! I would like to buy her at least one when we are there. I'm assuming, that like everything else, they are more expensive on site. Do you know of any other on-site shops that might have them? She might want to look at several before she decides on her big purchase :D

ww52 - congrats on #200.

Disbug, I voted for July and Aug as both months are good for me. DD and I would love to take a mother and dughter trip next summer!

Ozzie, Love the bracelet! You sound lucky to me.....

Hockeymom, Hope things are going well for you. Are you still thinking of an Easter trip?

DF, Welcome home!

Mouseteacher, Can you believe this great weather? I hope it's as nice in Boston as it is in CT.

I made CP ressies yesterday too! We are going 12/30 to the 6:45 with dinner at LeCellier at 5:00. I also made a small change on our reservation. We are now staying 3 nights at PBH and 15 nights at the Dolphin. In July Loews changed their Loews First benifits to give Plat Loews members a complimentary upgrade to a suite at the time of reservation. I just had to book another night after that bit of news! We can't wait to try FTOL! I just can't wait period! I love all the comradship shown on this thread! Thanks for being here!

Have a great day!

Muffy

Just wanted to post to see if my avtar is working!!! I'll be at the Swan in 3 weeks and can't wait!!

snwwhite>We did that Western Caribbean back in April. You will love it!

Loubon or anyone else that can help>I followed the instructions of copying the URL and pasting it into my signature area. When I do that, the actual URL appears and not the GIF! What am I doing wrong????

ww52~ Congrats on #200 and thanks for posting it on this thread!

Muffy ~ weather is great here in Boston, too! I hope the humidity stays away with school opening next week. The building can be unbearable once the heat builds up. But fall is really around the corner - :( I am totally a summer person and I loathe the winter weather! So, I will miss summer.
15 nights at the Dolphin - Lucky you!

mary~ I bought my charm in Italy in Epcot - my charm was $33. But there were charms for lesser amounts. I also saw them in the shop at the CR - not the Disney gift shop - the one across the way. It has Disney bath and kitchen merchandise as well as a jewelry counter.

Just make sure the URL is enclosed in (bracket)IMG(bracket) and (bracket)/IMG(bracket). Use the bracket key. I can't do that here because it will think it is code.

I don't think it is case sensitive but just make sure it is the same case for both.

DD has 6 full bracelets now...and just purchased 6 more w/her BD funds! They are worth more than a Rolex now, and quite an investment. They have been available in Cali for years, and until this summer~we could never find them in Orlando. Disney sells some inexpensive "faux" links and charms in the gift shops. The REAL charms are sold in Italy, and other shops such as the one Mouseteacher mentioned.

They are for sale here in Cali at Kiosks in the mall, Every Hallmark and jewelery store, and even some other large chains. The BIG names are ReFlorence, Zoppini, Boxing, etc.

I have purchased quite a few through this wonderful woman's website. I found her through a friend, and she also sells on eBay (W/great Feedback!). I've NEVER experienced any problems with her charms, customer service or shipping. She accepts Credit cards through Paypal, (and maybe even personally, I'm not sure), or checks/money orders.

YES...she sells LOTS of DISNEY CHARMS! The pumpkin coach is one of my FAV (DD has this one). Her prices are a bit lower than the stores, as she has no overhead. Give her a peek.

Here's the LINK: www.b-lfarms.com/zoppini1.htm

Enjoy the DAY! I must go and P/U DD from school. She only has Orientation and pictures today. We'll do lunch, etc. She has to brush-up on the 5 books she was required to read for the summer, as she is tested on these over the next three days.

TTFN...DF99

My parents bought my daughter her bracelet and some charms for her 13th birthday last Feb. I'm pretty sure my Mom got them at Hallmark. For part of our trip, we'll be at the Poly. and VWL so we can certainly hop over to the Contemporary for a look-see. She is at the movies right now and then doing a little back to school shopping. My kids don't start until next Wednesday. We'll see how much money she has left when I pick her up ;)

MTeacher - I hear you on the school heating up issue. DD passed out twice last Fall when it was 90 outside and much hotter inside!

PS - Welcome Home DF! Are you back into the groove yet? Or are you still in a Disney State of Mind?

I can't believe I'll be there in 3 days. Believe it or not, I haven't packed a thing yet, although I am assembling a pile of stuff on my floor. I've also got to do some last minute cleaning here as my parents are arriving tomorrow for a few days. Their visit was planned after my trip! But, at least I know my mom will take care of my boys that are being left behind - oldest DS and DH! And, we get to see them for 2 days. Hopefully, we'll visit them in October. It's only 4 hours from here. Ok - enough........I need to get back to the task at hand.

Disbug, come in!

Marymrg.. DD14 and I went to Mass Saturday evening at 6 PM. We got there with about 5 minutes or so to spare and had no problems parking. The church was not empty by any means, but neither was it packed. Somewhere in between! We went to the gift shop afterwards and found a very nice Pax intertwined with a sign of the fish that we put on the back of our car.

We had time to go the next morning before everyone else arrived, but it was nice to not have to rush out! I would recommend this Mass to everyone! *Traffic was not bad and we took the short cut, so it was 10 minutes or less.

Short cut: follow signs to I-4 East (Orlando). You are barely on I-4 before taking the first exit (535). I believe then you just go straight across, because that is Vineland Road...

I love my italian link bracelet :) they are still catching on here...Kentucky seems so far behind from either of the coasts when it comes to trends, LOL! I treated myself to the Mickey head birthstone charms for Christmas....I can't wait to check out all the charms next month!

I'm starting to formulate the pre-trip plans, I was able to book a room at AS Movies for cheap today (on overflow rates through Shades of Green :) )....we will spend our first night there. Our youngest is a HUGE buzz and woody fan, and DH thought she'd get a kick out staying there for one night. Since he leaves most of the planning to me, if he asks to something it must be pretty important! dads and their baby girls.....LOL

I wasn't so lucky when I checked on my reservation at the CR (also through SoG). The reservationist couldn't find the reservation, even after I gave her the WDW confirmation number  She had to call Disney, verify the reservation and esentially had to create a new reservation in the SoG system. In the process, I lost my guaranteed first floor/patio room....and my patience, LOL. I still can't figure out how I paid for a room and have a room blocked for me, and then it just disappears from the system! At this point, I'm glad to have a room and will have a credit when we check in. whatever. I wrote a letter to the reservations dept. We'll see how that turns out....FirstNo (from this board) used to work in the reservations dept. there and she really spoiled me! I really miss her expertise.

This has turned into a mini-novel, LOL...all because I love those charms :)

DH got the bracelet and charms at a jewelry store in St. Charles, MO. I have seen them at Hallmark, and on the web and in disney at WS and MGM(there is a jewelry store near the ride board). The picture was just a picture, not mine, although I tried to take a pic of mine and couldn't get the light adjusted so you could tell what the charm looked like!
Loubon...thanks for helping out on the posting directions. You can follow the directions and if one little thing is missing, or capitalized, it won't work!
Wow, Muffy.....PBH.....a suite upgrade! I might have stopped there this summer, had I known! The FOTL is THE best perk there is! I expect a full report from both places.
splashfamily....my DIS has been slow for a few days too. Thought it was my PC. Hmmm. I see you got lots of ideas about where to purchase the charms. Isn't this board great? Ask and you shall receive!
Hot day again........100' here! We haven't had any rain for a loooong time, like a month or so. Hasn't kept the humidity away though. UGH.

I thought I "needed" a new style charm bracelet... I didn't know I MUST HAVE ONE! Those double charms with dangles are gorgeous! Thank you to everyone who posted sources!

Its hot... not as hot as ozzie, but hot when there is no ac in the school! 89 today with horrid Florida like humidity. Take away the humidity and we'd be finel. We're baking and melting children from 8-4 each day. When the weather is nicer again the kids are going to be hit with so much work they won't know what happened! We've been taking it slow this week to keep tempers down and brains in order. The one good thing about the weather is we have a lot of class bonding time! :)

Madge>> I hope your travel plans work out!

Muffy and everyone else!>> Easter is being planned right over the head of DH who should probably listen to me more often. I would rather just book direct through the S/D. Has anyone done this recently and were they able to get the teacher rate? If that doesn't work, I'll go through DU again. OK> Swan? Dolphin? Dolphin? Swan? I know I said it didn't matter.... BUT! If I have both kids with us we'll do club level again as it was a great for them to get a snack and not bother us about when and where dinner would be that night. Breakfast was great up there (chocolate croissants are calling my name!). If we don't go with CL, I'll still have to run up and say hello to Thabo and MommaT!

Do we have a charter yet? I must be being brainwashed well by the "Edison" people because all I can think of when I think of a slogan is "A world class education for all", this definitely won't work for our sorority!

I think the entire net seems to be slower lately. I figured it was comcast... maybe not?

*doing the room wave as I load the charm bracelet pages on another browser* Any tips or hints for the first time purchaser?

Debbie

hockeymom~ I am wearing my bracelet as I post. I have the starter bracelet that is engraved on the back "Walt Disney Collection" and I bought the Mickey head with white crystal (I guess that's what it is called) outlined in goldtone. I didn't purchase anymore b/c I wanted to think about how to design my bracelet. Decisions, decisions... all Mickey heads or all fairy tale charms or what??? I'm still thinking... :D You'd think I was designing a major piece of jewelry!!!:p

Charter???... Disbug, you have the creative juices -- any ideas?

This is the most technical help in one day that I have ever needed! I finally got my siggie in the posts and can you guess my next question?

How do I make it smalller? I'm being taken over by my own signature. HELP!
