YES! All of the pools are 24 hr pools. This is one of the BEST features of these resorts, as we so enjoy a late-night dip. DH and I also enjoy the jacuzzi together...relaxing...in private. ;)

RobMax...your timer is STILL Blank! What gives?

marymrg...LOL...("Or maybe I'm just a carpet snob/purist and notice more picky things like this. Which reminds me.....I need to get my family room berber carpet Spring cleaned too.) You and me both! I have Berber too...white w/subtle grey flecks. The berber certainly "wears" better than many other carpets. :)

Thanks for the details of your dining experience @ the C.G.! Yumm..everything sounds so delicious. Our last meal there was just heavenly. We always begin with the Sushi (Calif. Roll), then Salad/soup...and entree. I would love to try the dessert...but we are always too full by the end of the meal. Perhaps this trip...I'll eat DESSERT FIRST!! :p

*50% off? Is this for one eve, or your entire stay? Great Bonus, one NEVER received at a "Disney-Owned" resort. ;)

It's a "We Miss You Already" Coupon. It's good for 50% off rack rate - valid through 12/24/03. Some blackout dates apply.....or so it says. (it doesn't give the dates)

I may end up using it if my brother and sil go to the World in the Fall. It might be the only way I get to visit with them. (they live in Saudi Arabia) I have credits on Southwest.......already warned my husband that I might do this.......just waiting on them to make their plans.

Mary

Just wondering for our late Fall trip!

Sorry to change the subject a little, but could you please tell me a little about the Westin in NY City Times Square. We are thinking of going to NY at the end of the summer and are looking for a nice place to stay. We stayed at the Sheraton Manhatten last summer, but it was a bit run down. Thanks ddawg

marymrg ~ C.G. and the pork entree:D my favorite. I have ordered that both times we were there to dine. DF - DH LOVES sushi and ordered at Cali Grille and really enjoyed every bite. He missed going to the sushi place in the Swan and has it on his agenda for when we return. Sushi is not my thing! ;)

Hey, all--- all your timers are blank!

Hi , I was orginally to stay at PO-R but change to Swan - should i still plan on using my "Mousekeeping" envelopes or is that a big NO-NO ? Thanks Michelle

Also wondering about the westin times square. We were looking into it and there is no mention of a pool??? So is there one?

bigsis ~ I think using the "mousekeeping" envelopes at the Swan is perfectly acceptable. Afterall, it is The Walt Disney World Swan Resort and The Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort.

WE used "mouse keeping" envelopes during our stay at the Dolphin. They were very much appreciated.

Great choice DF - - coming right up DF! LOL.

Wow - congrats to DH on the prestigious 48 oz. club! I may have to give 'er a try next week. I know a few little friends of the four-legged variety that would have no probs achieving this goal too. ;)

Ddawg: The Westin Times Square is brand new and is located at 43rd and 8th. I stay here mainly because of its proximity to our NY office and lack of time to meander, so I'm probably not the best resource/critic, but a brand spankin' new hotel does have its benefits. The staff is wonderful too.

The architecture and furnishings are modern & eclectic:

You might also consider the Westin Essex House on Central Park:

Or The St. Regis in Midtown:

There are also three or four W Hotels in Manhattan to choose from. I believe Dreamflight stayed at a Starwood Hotel in NYC last year - which one DF?

To the best of my knowledge, there is no pool.

ALLRIGHT! Who forgot to PAY THE BILL?!? (LOL). Now, they are ALL BLANK...INDEED. How on EARTH will I know WHEN TO LEAVE FOR MY VACATION W/O MY DIS TIMER?!? Argh! :p

Oh, Happytrails...I'm with you on the four-leggers chowing-down on the 48 oz beef steak! MM & MM would make "mince~meat" out of those...LOL. ;)

YES, In NYC I parked myself in the W NY Union Square (David Rockwell's Guardian Life Bldg.), Park Ave South...plus, my beloved PLAZA hotel (I know...no SPG points, but heh...it's worth it!) ;)
Great Pics of the W Times Square. Ultra-mod with nice flair~! How's the view at night? Anything special to report...? :)

Hi all....have been very busy, meeting myself coming and going......but wanted to check in and see what's up. Would love to go to NYC and stay at that Westin(any of them).
RobMax.....maybe your new coach will start his own 'Shula's'! I think you got a good one! Good luck.
Mompoppins......hang in there....can't believe you are under 1 month. Let us know when your life changes again....and Kirk arrives all healthy and happy and ready for Disney!
Mouseteacher........how do you have time to post on here during May?! I am going crazy with all the stuff happening at school! Our last day for kids is May 30! This is such a busy month. This week was 'teacher appreciation' week and we have been taken to lunches, flowers from kids and the best is the notes from kids who love us! This is the time of year I really need that! Ok, I'm done.
To all heading to the Magic soon....without your countdown timers.....have a magical time!

ozzie ~ It is a CRAZY  and busy time on this end too. However, I take a few minutes when I can during the day to destress and check the DIS. Of course, being the "boss" does have its perks which allows me to do this! ;) :p

Thanks for those photos of the Westin Times Square. We will be there 2 nights over Memorial Day to see Cirque du Soleil's Varekai.
We can't wait!:D We have dined at Shula's at the Dolphin and loved it :D I'm not sure we will make it there ths time, we are big fans of Serendipity, especially since the kids will be with us. Thanks for making the anticipation even greater with those pics!:D

mouseteacher and gschmerl - Thanks that is what i was hoping to hear - they are soo cute and didn't want to have to waste them !! Can I ask another ? about Tipping - this being a deluxe hotel should I tip more then $1.00 per person ( there are 3 of us so $3.00 per day ) Thanks Michelle

Not unless you three are terribly "messy" or require a lot of "extras" (towels, soaps, advice, etc.). from the HK staff. We average about $3 per day, since there are three of us. Yet, I'm one of those fastidious types...(all of us), and make the beds before leaving each day (not to mention...clean, organize, etc.~Heck...I'd probably vac if there was one in the room...LOL). :p
