WELCOME BACK! Your post is wonderful news, and makes me smile to know the MAGIC is still thriving~alive & well @ the WDW DOLPHIN! ;)

What a grand time you had! I know where room 4025 is located. Rooms above offer a better view....but then again, you were "4" floors from the ground level! So glad everything worked out well. Sure hope the cruise was fun too. We loved ours this past summer (7-night Western).

Glad to have you back safe & sound. :) Thanks for sharing the details of your stay. We too, adore Kimono's and the Oatmeal soap, etc.! I wish you would have called mousekeeping and asked for "extra" (they happily oblige). Hope you are able to return sometime soon. ;)

Shercara -

I'm happy your Dolphin experience was a great one and you had a wonderful vacation. I agree that the Grotto pool is awesome. We used it everyday - we were there in August.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you from snowy Boston! :)

Hi,
I apologize if this has been discussed already, but can anyone describe the cribs at the Dolphin? And do they have the PaknPlay types, too?

Thanks,
Mark

Safe Travels to all of you! ;)

Mouseteacher...I'm a "dyed in the wool YANKEE", having been born in Medford! Toss a few snowballs for me, and definitely...make a Snow Angel! The best of the Season to you in New England.:)

Mark P. ~ The cribs I have seen are just your basic bed, with metal bars, etc. I have not seen the PaknPlay types, but call to check. I am aware they are re-doing the cribs, (part of the renovation) and soon all of these will be: Heavenly Cribs! Hooray for the diaper-clad rugrats...:p LOL.

*[Our House] had a heart, and a soul, and eyes to see us with; and approvals, and solicitudes, and deep sympathies; it was of us, and we were in it's confidence, and lived in its grace and in the peace of its benediction...we could not enter it unmoved. -Mark Twain

Happy Thanksgiving to you All! ;)

Dreamflight is correct they are the full size white metal cribs. My littlest one slept great in a bed the same size as hers at home.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL OF YOU!

We found out the due date of our newest addition is July 14, WDW may be out for us next year. We took our Sarah when she was 6 months, 9 months and 14 months. We may wait until this one is a year old this time around. We were relieved to see the little heartbeating on the sonogram, nothing sweeter than seeing a new little heart begin beating... God Bless you all on your travels... Robin :D

Mom Poppins ~ Congratulations on your new baby to come in July.

DF99~ Omigosh!:bounce: What a small world... I grew up in Medford and consider Medford my roots!!! I spent 22 years growing up in a wonderful neighborhood surrounded by extended family and caring neighbors. It was a great time and place to be a child and teenager.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!

Good to hear from you, Robin. Can you believe how close our trip is? You won't believe this either.....I tore a muscle in my leg 3 weeks ago and have missed 3 weeks of school! Couldn't walk and was in great pain. It is getting much better and I am going to Disney if they have to carry me!!! So glad all is well with you.

Safe travels to all.

Robin, Congrats on the OFFICIAL DUE DATE! Would you please do me a BIG favor? Start a countdown on your page to your big date of arrival: JULY 14, 2003? It's a wonderful way to watch the days pass...and countdown the date of your NEW ADDITION! It's more special than a vacation, and a blessing we all feel "a part" of, and can share in your joy through the coming months (thanks to your sharing). ;) P.S. I thought those cribs looked roomy! I could almost fit in one...now, if I could only fit in a nice, comfy stroller for the days I'm too tired to walk the parks~LOL! I watch the passing babies w/stroller-envy. :p HeHe!:)

Mouseteacher....We may even be related! My mom grew-up in Malden, attended Malden high, even worked the old Schraft's candy factory while in H.S.! She lived on Pratt Street, and we still have relatives living in Boston, Malden, Belmont, Medford, etc. The inflection is one thing my mom has never lost, and is still proud to have! LOL...Bubbler, dungarees, bureau, sneakers, grinder, frappe, are all a part of her daily vernacular. She uses aphorisms indigenous to the area. She also adds an "R" at the end of any word ending in "A" (such as my name...Lisa, she calls me "Lis-er"...:p ), and DROPS the "R" from all other words (such as PARTY...she says POTTY!). Too funny! I'll bet you know where "Wellesley College" is...my daughter's first choice of schools, and part of the "seven sisters". ;)

Ozziewags...sorry to read about the injury. Torn muscles are so painful, and terribly sloe to heal. You can always opt for a wheelchair at WDW if the pain/strain proves too much. I'm w/you all the way...and would also go on my trip if I had to "crawl" (LOL).;)

Are you all prepared for tomorrow? May GOD BLESS each and every one of you, and as I graciously give thanks for all I have...I'll include you all in my thoughts and prayers. TTFN...:)

With great excitement, I got my brand new (first time ever) SPG card today and the promotional 50%-off certificate (for 1-5 nights at rack rate.) My excitement soon turned to disappointment when I saw that the certificate expires 12/31/02!
I called SPG & the first rep told me it expires this year because the card was issued this year. The fact that there are only 34 days left in the year is my tough luck. Of course I had to call again, and this time got a wonderfully helpful & cooperative rep who issued me a new certificate good until next year!

This just goes to prove once again, if at first you don't succeed, Don't give up!! Call, call again! Thanks to everybody on these boards, I knew enough to call again (& again if necessary!)

Dreamflight: Thanks for the great idea of putting the due date of the baby on the countdown clock.... I have to say though 228 days seems forever away! lol! Looks like I will be having the baby while you are "in the magic" this time.... :p

Carol: I am so sorry to hear about your leg... I know that must be painful. I cannot believe your trip is only 24 days away. It seems it was just summer and were both busy planning. I hope you have a great time and Dreamflight had a great idea of a wheelchair if needed..sometimes I think I could use one on 2 good legs! lol! :p

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU ALL AND GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES :D

Great news about the certificate, adisneyfan2! Very wise, and the same advice I gave another poster a few pages back. Always, call back and inquire...as something like this is always feasible (especially when less than a month remains in the year!). I'm so pleased you did not give-up, and called again to obtain satisfaction. Enjoy!

Mom Poppins...;) YES, you will be having this bundle of MAGIC while I'm in the MAGIC! LOL. It is wonderful to see the countdown...and watch the days melt-away. :) Sometimes, in the midst of the pregnancy, it's comforting to "see" the days actually passing (as time seems to stand still at moments!). 9-months can feel like two years when awaiting the arrival of a miracle! HeHe...I remember...very well. :p

I hope each and every one of you enjoyed your Thanksgiving Day Holiday! TTFN....;)

I, too, hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We did and are very grateful for all our blessings - a close family, good health and lots of love! :) We, also, had fun with DBrother and his family reminicing about our trip to WDW and our stay at the Dolphin. DB is lobbying for our next stay to be at the Swan. It is such fun to share WDW trips with your own family but extra special when you share with extended family.:teeth:

Just wanted to say THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!to everyone for all of your help in planning our Dream Vacation.

We are leaving Monday at 2pm and will be flying out Tuesday on an early flight from Newark (my nerves are shot at this point-I HATE FLYING ) I will be the one getting off the airplane as white as a ghost LOL.

Anyway, I bought myself a new laptop(my other one died when it got dropped from the luggage cart at the Sheraton in Weehawkin. I had put it on there to open the room door and it slipped off-boy was I upset with myself) I will not be at at the Dolphin until the 20th but I will try to keep in touch-sorry I will not be able to give a trip report like DF99 with all these kids I'll be lucky to get online LOL!

MOMPOPPINS-stay heallthy and enjoy your miracle!

Carol-I'm sorry to hear about your leg too! I hope you're wearing lime green ribbons so I can meet you! We will be the ones with the red old navy fleece-all 9 of us LOL with the lime reen ribbons on the belt bags, backpacks and strollers!!!!

Well I'm back to packing-I just wanted to take a few minutes now to thank everyone in case I run out of time

"HAVE A WONDERFUL & MAGICAL TRIP, disneywith6kids!" Enjoy the splendor of your vacation! RELAX, and have a great time. So glad to read you're bringing a laptop (sorry about the drop in Weehawkin...:( ). I'll be awaiting any news from "INSIDE" the magic! Hope all the packing goes well, and you have a blessed and safe trip. I'll be thinking of you on Tuesday morning...and sending loads of pixie dust (********************************************) your way! I'll also be w/you in thought on the 20th...as you arrive at the WDW DOLPHIN! I wish you the best, and hope everything goes as planned! Enjoy!!;)

Mouseteacher...sounds as if your Thanksgiving was very special! :) We also enjoyed a great day of family & festivities (& FOOD :p ). Christmas is just around the corner...anyone all decorated yet? ;)

DF99, I am starting my decorating now that Thanksgiving is over. We are putting up our tree in a few days! My shopping is finished, now I have to start wrapping! It seems like the time between Thanksgiving and Chrsitmas just goes by to fast. Our trip to the Dolphin is only 29 days away! It will be our first visit to the Dolphin and we are really looking forward to it! Having Plat SPG gives us great hope of an upgrade too! I will definatly ask at checkin.

I see that you grew up in Medford! That is not far from where we live in Ct. My son lives in Medford and we visit there often! I guess it is a small world afterall!

Happy travels to all vacationers leaving soon!

Muffy

DF99 ~ I have decorated my kitchen and dining room with some of my Christmas themed items. We decided this year, in addition to our real tree in the living room, to purchase an artificial tree for our family room b/c we spend more time in that room. DH and I went to 5 stores yesterday! The decent looking artificial trees were difficult to find - many stores were sold out. We finally found one in Michael's with a $50 off coupon. :) My plan is to decorate this tree with a Disney theme. My family believes I've gone over the edge! LOL The real tree and more decorating will come next weekend.

disneywith6kids~ Have a wonderful time --- I'm envious!! :)

muffy~ The world does get smaller and smaller! Please give us a trip report when you return from the Dolphin.

Mouseteacher, We do the same thing -- Disney ornaments & the monorail around the bottom! (But real tree in the family room, & fake in the living room -- I'm less worried about the messy needles in the family room!)

Muffy, Have a great trip! Looks like we will be at the Dolphin around the same time. Will you have a lime ribbon on? I hope to....

Muffy I may have missed something, but you should call the Dolphin and let them know that you are Plat. spg and ask what kind of room to expect. MomPoppins and I both did that and found out that we could get the jr. suite at the discounted (teacher, entertainment, whatever) rate.

DF We finished decorating yesterday. Shopping mostly done and am getting packages ready to be mailed. Also sending decorations, film, and a tree to the Swan for our Christmas vacation! Not only does this time go fast, but working full time really leaves you with very little extra time to get things done for Christmas. Good thing I started this planning last winter!

Have a good week everyone!

Carol

DH decorated the exterior w/icicles, and some beautiful white wooden deer (6) with big red bows in the yard. There are some other things, (wreaths in the windows and a huge one on the front doors...it splits in half). CC & R's permit us to do only so much! LOL. Inside, we always have a 16-24 ft. live tree in the area of the Spiral staircase/family/great room. The other tree is a faux, and stands 8 feet tall in the formal LR. It is "saturated" (LOL) w/Disney ornaments. We have the monorail and all the resorts/etc., plus the train running around the base. Atop the Tree is a HUGE animated Minnie Angel with a lighted candle in her gloved hands. Her wings move, and she moves her arms as well. There are other animated Disney figures in the home, and a snow village (dept. 56) atop a curio...the manger scene atop another, etc.). It is very festive and fun! I have a stack of Christmas cards YET to be completed and mailed...and I'm WAY BEHIND on my wrapping! If I could figure out how to paste...I'd tack a pic to a post. I'll try as soon as I'm finished! I am taveling AGAIN this weekend, so I must finish before we go. We are headed to Lake arrowhead (www.lakearrowheadresort.com) for our quiet corner suite overlooking the lake/pool. We shop the village and then visit Knotts Berry Farm & Holiday Craft Village! (www.knottsberryfarm.com) :p

Muffy....Please, follow the words of wisdom from ozziewags and phone the Dolphin in advance. Platinum definitely receives an upgrade, and a JR. suite is part of the offering! It's always nice to "remind" them of your arrival and SPG status. I'm so thrilled to see you & so many others have PLAT. SPG! It offers the BEST upgrades and freebies in the travel industry. :) Keep us apprised of your progress. ;) P.S. Say "hi" to MEDFORD for moi! I miss the East something terrible, especially this time of year.

Carol (ozziewags)...you are too darned organized! Amazing! I try my best, and am a perfectionist~so it seems to take me longer! LOL. I work out of my home, so you would think I'm able to get MORE accomplished...not so. I'll try to get everything completed prior to this Wed. We have packages to be mailed with destinations of Paris, and Kouvola (Finland), and they have to be shipped asap. Fabulous idea (Tree shipped) for the Swan! You can also shop in the Christmas stores while there and pick up some "special" memorable ornaments! I'm so homesick for the DOLPHIN. Just 200+ days and I'm THERE...LOL. ;) Are you all packed yet?

Mouseteacher...The kitchen too? I would LOVE to see it! I have often dreamed of the entire house all decorated from head to toe. Too much work. My neighbor has a "Home Alone" house, and she places a decorated TREE (10) in every room/window. Her home is astounding, and I can't figure out how she does it all. She must employ some cheap labor, and bring them in through an underground tunnel. Go figure? She has elaborate Holiday parties, all catered, and her exterior decorations are professionally done. Another neighbor Jay and his wife have a Gingerbread house in their yard, where they sit and hand out candy canes dressed as Mr. & Mrs. Claus. They also give train rides, etc. Most all the folks in the "hood" around here "hire" out for the decorations. I thought about this too, until I called and was quoted $900+! No thanks. That's what DH's are for!! LOL. :p

Hope you are all ready to go, Disneywith6kids! You are off tomorrow...and the journey begins. Enjoy...and try to keep in touch. ;)

I decorate my kitchen because I spend more time in that room, too!! :p
