New Disney Visa "Inspire" card

Apologies if this has been asked/answered already, I searched but didn’t see it. Is the annual fee waived the first year? Our bill has cycled already and we weren’t charged, I was expecting to be charged.

It might be a little challenging for us to hit the $2k resort spend because we usually stay on our DVC points, but I have a couple of questions related to it.

Does buying DVC One-Time-Use-Points count towards the $2k resort spend? I'm guessing "no".

Does paying for the Transient-Occupancy-Tax at Villas at Disneyland Hotel count towards the $2k resort spend? I'm guessing "yes".

Also, friendly reminder that for the Disney+ streaming credit, you have to activate / opt-in each calendar year in the Chase app.

I've had my Inspire for a couple of weeks, and they have posted the $149 annual fee, so no, it is not waived the first year.

Did you get your Inspire as a new card, or did you have them migrate your existing Chase Disney Visa or Premier Visa to the Inspire?

No, it will be charged. Our first bill cycle closed on 2/14, and our annual fee posted on 3/1.

so if you don't go to Disney at least once a year, the card is not worth it, since it has a $150 annual fee???

We don't go every year, and both DH and I each got one card. I feel the SUB is worth it. That being said, we are going this year and the SUB is nice. Even if we weren't going, I could use the SUB for DVC dues. I will probably cancel my card after a year and maybe product change DH's. Might wind up keeping one card - we will see.
