New Disney Visa "Inspire" card

I got the Inspire, will cancel the premium one but that one is linked to rewards card..i
Is it best use the balance available and request a new rewards card? Or is it a smooth transition?
Thanks

Is there a need to cancel? you can just keep the card and downgrade to the free version if the length of credit history matters for you if it was a card you have had for awhile.

Also there is another thread on Pay Yourself Back (PYB) vs Rewards card. I think PYB will be easier and more beneficial for you going forward.

What can I charge to the room folio? (this is for DL btw not WDW) I read quick service doesn't count, which is a bummer since that's most of our dining.

I went to see if we could cancel and rebook the the hotel since there was a ton of availability last week, but now almost everything is gone.
I'm not sure if this will work, but could you buy a gift card in the lobby giftshop, charge that to the room and use the gift card to pay?
Would this include the Craftsman Bar since they accept ADRs?
I believe it would work. I have never charged to the room, other than a spa service once. I think I wanted to code it as travel and I asked if I could charge it to the room. They had to walk me through it, but there's a barcode for room charges in the reservation on the app.

I also got the Inspire card and had the Disney Visa Premium card. So I downgraded the Premium card to the no fee card. Since I had just paid the renewal fee, they refunded that fee :D I asked and was told that my rewards earned with the Premium card would not expire as long as that card remains open.

I got my hard card in the mail today! Applied/approved instantly on 2/11 - arrived in mail today 2/17. App still says its set to arrive by 2/24.

I immediately updated my MDE for our upcoming trip so I can use it to book LL in a couple days and then for our room folio charges. I also purchased some 1 days tickets to Disneyland and used the $300 GC for partial payment. The total for the tickets that I charged on the card was $216 so hopefully that should trigger the $100 ticket credit as well.

Anxiously waiting to hear from anyone who bought special event tickets (Star Wars, After Hours, etc.) to see if that triggered the 100 credit. AI said no but AI has been wrong in many cases. The "fine print" in the Offer Details doesn't mention excluding these tickets. I am keeping my fingers crossed for the credit for my After Hours tickets purchase but also won't hold my breath!

February 5th @HyperspaceMountainPilot purchased some.

Fine Print states 6-8 Weeks

Earliest DP would be 3/19/2026 for 6 weeks and 4/2/2026 for 8 weeks.

Things like this can credit earlier than the fine print so we don’t know the earliest to expect, we do know the latest is 4/2.
That is true but they held that $5 for signing up and using Paze till the last minute while the $50 paid out pretty instantly.

Chase likes to play games so since the tickets were purchased on the 5th I think we will be waiting that whole time as it doesn't appear to be following the traditional Chase Offer/Hotel Credit or travel credit rebates timelines.

I would love to be surprised though as would @HyperspaceMountainPilot to have the $100 back sooner.

Is everyone that already had a Disney card and got approved for Inspire just leaving the other account open? I had hoped they would combine because I really dont need 2 Disney cards but my other account is the basic with no fees so its not actually costing me anything. I did get the same limit on the Inspire that I had on the basic version, so I inquired about combining accounts to make my limit higher and also got a non commited answer from Chase. I guess they will have to endure the multiple charges from DVC over the next 6 weeks :)

You can transfer the limit online yourself

I am also curious if anyone has has credit cycling issues with the Chase Disney card. I dont make make many huge purchases my self but know from others that credit cycling is very much a thing and can get your card cancelled.
My guide acted like I was crazy and said he had never heard of that and charges cards every 7 days all the time. Im wondering if its ignored because it is a Disney purchase.

How does that work? I specifically asked Chase and they did not mention that. I did request a credit increase after being immediatly approved for Inspire and it was denied due to length of time since card was issued.

I kept open but reduced it from the premier to the base card. I will probably close it altogether eventually.

You asked Chase to "combine the accounts" which Chase cannot do, but you can move credit lines between personal cards. You can do it yourself online, secure message Chase to do it, or call Chase to do it.

To do it online, open the account details page on a personal credit card, click more, and navigate to "move credit line."
