New Disney Visa "Inspire" card

so bonus is $300 dis gc, plus a $300 statement credits...is that credit for any purchases (or just Disney purchases to use the credit?)

But that's for the one-time welcome offer, not for the spend toward the yearly $200 reward
You’re right, I forgot I’m trying for multiple awards!

Maybe after the one-time is done it will begin tracking the yearly. Or can’t we just look at total purchases? I can’t remember if that one is restricted to certain purchases.

The tracker for welcome offers with Chase are in different places than the benefit spend trackers for the Sapphire Reserve yearly credits. So I don't think it'll update from the former to the latter, but would be glad to be wrong!

My guess is that it either already shows a tracker under benefits or there is none and you just track yourself. With my Hyatt card (another co-branded card) the only way to know progress toward yearly benefits is to track yourself, so that's probably how it'll be with the Inspire

For the $100 credit after spending $200 in theme park tickets, do you think Disney After Hours tickets will count? Or only the regular daily theme park tickets?

HyperspaceMountainPilot bought Star Wars tickets, so maybe they can tell if those tickets count towards to category? I’m curious about LLMP, I’ll have first hand knowledge in a couple weeks, but maybe someone else will know before then.

so I just looked at my Chase app and I had bought $1500 in Disney gift cards to pay for a cruise. I'm already seeing a $300 credit for the purchase. So my balance is $1200 instead of $1500. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: I bought the GC's on Thursday so I was surprised to already see the credit. I thought I'd have to wait until the statement closed to see that.

That is the welcome offer and you will get the $300 after spending the $1K in anything. Of course you could double dip and use some of that towards the $2k for Cruises/Vacation Packages/Folio.

DP from @emmabelle is the $300 statement credit posts pretty fast after meeting the spend.

If you stop by before check out day you can pay off the folio charges with apple pay
So I went to the registration desk today and asked if it was possible to pay off folio charges with Apple Pay and they told me no…but there seem to be a lot of new people working at Grand Cal.
I think you need to stop by before 11pm the night before checkout.
I was told a flat no (without mentioning it was checkout day for me)…have you done this at VGC? I think it’s a different system than at WDW.

Purchased Star Wars Nite last week… Will try to check tomorrow to see which credits (if any) have posted yet.

I was able to do both in June I'm assuming it is still the same and just the cast member was unaware.

I used up all of my Gift cards and then used Apple Pay for the rest on a card I was working to meet the spend on for the welcome bonus

awesome thanks!

I have the basic Disney Visa which I downgraded from the Premier several years ago. I earned a SUB way back when I originally applied for the Premier. I applied for the Inspire despite being 6/24. I forgot to lift my credit freeze so it was put under review and had to call after lifting the freeze. Application was approved. Gift card email arrived before the call even ended. Card is in Apple Wallet. I do have a long history with Chase, so YMMV, but here is another DP that 5/24 and worse is not an automatic denial.

Sometimes chase does relax the 5/24 on new cards. Thanks for the DP and glad you got it!!

I'm a DVC member. I called to renew our Sorcerer Passes on Friday, 2/6. I used the card to pay off the balance, a little over $200, after using gift cards to pay the majority. The charge went through on my card and it posted to my account, but the $100 statement credit isn't showing. I'll keep an eye on it, and call if it doesn't come through in the next day or so.

Which credit agency do you need to lift your freeze from before applying? TransUnion, Equifax, or Experian?

Has the charge actually cleared at Chase or is it still show as pending?
