The tracker for welcome offers with Chase are in different places than the benefit spend trackers for the Sapphire Reserve yearly credits. So I don't think it'll update from the former to the latter, but would be glad to be wrong!
My guess is that it either already shows a tracker under benefits or there is none and you just track yourself. With my Hyatt card (another co-branded card) the only way to know progress toward yearly benefits is to track yourself, so that's probably how it'll be with the Inspire

HyperspaceMountainPilot bought Star Wars tickets, so maybe they can tell if those tickets count towards to category? I’m curious about LLMP, I’ll have first hand knowledge in a couple weeks, but maybe someone else will know before then.
so I just looked at my Chase app and I had bought $1500 in Disney gift cards to pay for a cruise. I'm already seeing a $300 credit for the purchase. So my balance is $1200 instead of $1500. I bought the GC's on Thursday so I was surprised to already see the credit. I thought I'd have to wait until the statement closed to see that.
That is the welcome offer and you will get the $300 after spending the $1K in anything. Of course you could double dip and use some of that towards the $2k for Cruises/Vacation Packages/Folio.
