new disney theme park??

newenglanddisney,

i TOTALLY agree with you. i know that a lot of people are saying that disney needs to be separate and not be like universal, but...

a VILLAIN park would not be like Universal. It would still be done with the "magic" touch. They can still show the "forces of good" conquering over the "forces of evil". some say that it would be too scary for some children to go. then they can just go to those that would suit their kids. but i can't imagine disney doing something that would not be suitable for all ages, and doing it in excellent taste.::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

living so close to orlando, dh and i go to wdw all the time. we love the roller coasters, but if i could get that 'roller coaster' feel from a DISNEY park rather than IOA, i would never leave disney property!:Pinkbounc :bounce:

thanks for your comments!!!

I also agree with NewEnglandDisney.
I love Disney. I don't get to go very often--many years in between visits--but I always feel like I have to leave some of the magic to get over to IOA because I love thrill rides. Yes, I can go on thrill rides anywhere--but I don't have a Six Flags, and the rides at Valley Fair (while wonderful) are very short in comparison. So, I go to IOA to enjoy Dueling Dragons and some others, but I miss the *Magic* of Disney while I'm there.

DC7800, you said it very well, "Disney is about something much more special" I'm assuming that you are saying much more special thatn IOA and all of their thrill rides--you are right. But as N.E.D. said, just imagine what Disney could do!::yes::

I do think that WDW needs to pay attention to the attractions they have now and make them better and prepare for Epcot's 25th; but I think that it should also give some consideration to those who have to leave WDW because it is missing something.

A Villian Park would be great. It would make sense to have coasters and thrill rides there. It would be a great place for a villain character meal. There would still be magic. It would still be Disney. And really, Disney does it better than anybody.

So, while this is a rumor, I hope that some real consideration is given to this idea. I think that *if* this new park really happened, it would still be a family place and you could still enjoy a Mickey bar on the bench with the rest of the family. Disney would do right by the idea. I hope that I get a chance to see it in action someday.

I hope this is not true. Who wants another coaster park.
I do. If you don't like it or have teenagers to apease, you can go to the other parks. Seems like an important age group to target.

However, the departure of 20K was never really addressed in my eyes, and yes, the MK is down one "big ride". There simply is something missing from that area.....

...a fifth park that is aimed to the teenage/young adult/thrill-seeking set would really round out the offerings at WDW....
I agree, good post.
