Why can't you buy tickets on 6/28 and secure your park reservation? You can book your room when inside of the window.
I'm back to what I said a month ago. There's no way they are going to not allow resort guests (ESPECIALLY DVC members and guests with a resort reservation) to buy tickets for the party staying there. My bet would be further clarification is coming. If they don't , they're going to be shocked at cancellations in the DVC resorts, essentially the only thing that's open. If all they want is local APs, it's all well and fine, but I'm betting a surprising number of DVC members are NOT AP holders and certainly DVC members often bring guests that most certainly are not.
There are going to be a lot of DVC members unwilling to travel that far for a resort-only stay, points lost or not. It's not going to matter. We may be willing, but the Dis is only a small subset of DVC and a very definable microcosm of DVC that is much different from the average DVC member.
Disney missed the boat on their guinea pigs. They may think they have the numbers to back up what they're doing, but my bet is they're going to have to punt on this one.
Well, one, we have annual passes, so don't want to buy additional park tickets. Also, concerned that by the time we can make a full complement of dates for that trip, there won't be availability. But I've calmed myself down. If we can't get park reservations, we'll either upgrade another trip or rent out our points. Why can't you buy tickets on 6/28 and secure your park reservation? I don’t see a problem with them still selling APs at this point. The problem is paying that price for a reduced product!!
My annual pass has already been extended...They haven't stated when the clock on APs will start. All we have to go off of is SDL where they have said they won't start the clock while the reservation system is in effect.
Actually, as of about an hour ago they won't even sell them a full price AP. I just got off the phone and they have officially ceased AP sales as well. The optics are pretty bad, though. In our case the people on our reservation that don't have tickets are not DVC members. I've tried two different online chats with two different groups (DVC and the ticket folks) and both said Disney would happily sell them a full price (non DVC, non FL resident) AP, but not the simple 7 day park ticket they actually need.
That's not cool.

Monday will open for theme park reservations through Sept 2021. So yes you need to be online for a May 2021 stay.perhaps I missed this but how far ahead can park reservations be made? I have a DVC stay May of 2021. is that going to open up Monday or will those open up on a 60 day window basis?
Yeap welcome to the club... Maybe split the booking up with your spouse or friends if your all linked correctly in MDE.Well, this will be a cluster for me...I have DVC reservations for October (7 nights) for 4 people, rebooked from May; November (9 nights for two people) and December 16 nights (8 nights for 10 peeps and 8 nights for 2 peeps). I and everyone in my party are all APs, and all linked; so does this mean on Monday, I’m going to have to book park reservations for 32 days...![]()

Yes- just read that.Sounds like AP holders will get a free 13th month due to the theme park reservation system and the lack of park hopping.
