New Disney Theme Park reservation system

All of the useful info is here but man did they bury the lead (scroll down): https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/experience-updates/parks/

I'm going to make my park reservations Monday AM but then I have to call to change the PH+ option and see if we can add on a 4th day. Annoying but I'll live.

Also, I don't see anywhere on any of those pages anything at all about selecting an entry time, just a date - did I miss something or is that another rumor/assumption?

Another issue is the whole "Select a time" portion of the reservation. On top of being limited to know park, which is the correct thing to do IMO, we are also being given a time window that we can be in the park?

If we are limited to one resort, we better at least be able to be in the park the entire day. If not, then the price of tickets better reflect the limited amount of access.
It's an arrival time which is likely to control crowds at the park entrance.

Did I miss something? Did they say tickets are going to be back on sale?

Ticket for 2021 go on sale 6/28. If you change your trip to August you should be able to buy tickets and get your park reservation for the specific dates:

Want to Book a New Vacation?

By June 28, all Guests will be able to purchase new Disney Resort hotel packages and theme park tickets and make their park reservations for arrivals starting in 2021 as our phased reopening continues. Perfect!

Where does it say you have to select a time? It seems like you just have to pick one park per day, or am I reading it wrong?

This is insanity!!! As DVC members, we should have first priority. I cancelled my 2020 ressies, and now have a 2021 stay planned. My existing AP expires in January 2021 with the extension, but since I won't being going to 'til spring 2021, I plan to get a refund. In the past, once we had a room reservation, we were guaranteed park access as well as the ability to make dining reservations 6 months out w/o prepurchased tickets. We didn't need to purchase a ticket until 60 days out and simply for the purpose to allow us to get fastpasses. If a DVC member has a room only ressie, they shouldn't be restricted from making a park ressie during the period of their stay whether they have a ticket on file or not. This seems like nothing but a money-grab by Disney to force people to purchase non-refundable tickets 11+ months out with still no certainty of securing park admissions during your stay. Now 11 months out, you need to purchase tickets, determine what parks you want to visit w/o guarantee of securing entrance and coordinating dining ressies at 6 months out if that continues. Further, who knows what is happening to fastpasses.

so we have reservations Sept 24-30th at Jambo house and have AP's that had expired and now extended.. the renewal cert are sitting in our MDE. SO YES we have resort ressies ( but at a resort we dont know if will be open?) and YES we have tickets but they need to be renewed.. or maybe the renewal will just take over once the actual ap expires on the new expire date of aug 8th. hahaaa and will we just be able to make Park ressies for the first few days of the trip? we check out sept 30th! I am so so confused!
I don't *think* your old APs are only good for the amount of time left on them - Back when we had June reservations (now canceled) and I had called to try to renew my DD2's AP that was supposed to expire in April, and MS said that her AP would be good for the amount of time left on the AP *plus* the # of days the parks were closed. I would definitely call MS and check - for our "June" trip, they had to make an adjustment in the system so I could book FPs for her. So I am guessing I probably called around the end of April for that one. I would call MS and ask them when your APs would now expire, assuming the parks reopen as scheduled on July 11.

relatedly - with the new reservation system, I am considering booking my DVC reservations for 2021 asap. I really hadn't been thinking about it before. But our APs now won't expire until Fall 2020, so we can't "renew" our APs for 2021 until much later. *This* is what is confusing me today. Ack!

ETA: cross posted with @DVC92 - this is exactly our issue with 2021.

I read that AP holders with resort stays will be limited to only 14 days of reservations... If this is true this isn't good. I have 10 days scheduled in Aug, 7 days in Dec and 9 days in May. This is a total of 26 days all with hotel stays in cash or DVC. I can't imagine they will limit AP holders to 14 days of reservations over the next 11 months.

For those who have a DVC stay booked but do not have park tickets yet, I am in the same boat and just talked with a DVC rep. In order to get park tickets on June 24th, we would have to cancel our DVC stay and book a new hotel stay with a vacation package. This means we will just need to wait until park tickets go on sale for who with a resort stay already booked.

So our current passes expire in Jan. 2021, but I am waiting on a refund. So I have to purchase new APs as soon as available, almost a year before I need them simply to gain park access next spring and summer. Also, does anyone know if your number of park visits will be limited during a particular stay. If I have a 10 day stay, will I only be able to make park ressies for 4/5 days?

Has anyone seen what time the reservations will be available on June 22nd? Is it 7AM EST like all other things?
