New Disney Ships: News, Rumors, Speculation.....and Names!

Can Galveston fuel the Wish class ships or does this pretty much mean Dream/Fantasy? Would that mean longer sailings? Even though TX is closer to us than FL, I have a hard time justifying sailing with DCL if there’s no private island stop…but I do love the Dream and Fantasy.

Galveston does not currently have LNG facilities. A company just received the final necessary permits to begin building such a facility, that would then support vessels in Galveston using fuel barges. So it will be several years before the capability exists.

I suspect that could be done sooner. There is certainly lots of LNG available down there so all they would need to do is bring a refueling barge alongside.

Does anyone want to speculate on what the theme will be for the 4th Wish class coming to the US in 2027? Anyone think we should get some news (or at least major easter eggs) at D23 this year?

I would like something over the top unapologetically Princess— with the whole ship themed like a castle — but I’m almost certain I’m not going to get it.

I was thinking maybe something based in the “future”/space (like Tomorrowland) but I couldn’t think of a single IP that would fit that theme except WALL-E (and I guess Star Wars even though that happened a long time ago, not in the future.)

Brainstorming the new Wish class-

I’m pretty sure they’ll keep 1923 and Marvel in the dining rotation. Marvel is kind of a given at this point, for better or worse. Honestly, I think DCL could swap it out for a Star Wars dining experience and it would be just as popular, maybe even more so.

If I had to guess, the new dinner show will be Encanto. It’s colorful, the music is already a hit, and South American cuisine could be a nice offering. I could also see Encanto being the new stage musical instead if they go a different direction for dining.

I’m also thinking we’ll get another Haunted Mansion bar (honestly, not mad about it)

Still thinking through ideas for the other bars... They have gone in very different direction between the Destiny and the Treasure.

And for the ice cream shop, I could totally see them going with a Frozen theme. The sisters love chocolate, so it fits. Plus Olaf, Marshmallow and the Snowgies as decor would be adorable.

Most casual viewers dont know that about SW. Other IPs that fit- Meet the Robinsons, Treasure Planet, Big Hero 6, Tron... Not sure if any of those are popular enough but I would enjoy it. Maybe throw in a little Atlantis themed bar and I am there.

I always forget about Big Hero 6! I love that movie so much. (I should also watch Treasure Planet…)

I really hope they don’t have the Haunted Mansion bar and do something else. I don’t think it needs to be on 3/4 of the ships in the same class.

As an aside, if I had my way the Rose on the Destiny would be a villains bar. I think that would be so fun. Call it something like Apple and have villains themed drinks and subtle decor.

Even Hyperspace Lounge would be a better fit for the heroes vs villains theme!
