New Disney Ships: News, Rumors, Speculation.....and Names!

Can Galveston fuel the Wish class ships or does this pretty much mean Dream/Fantasy? Would that mean longer sailings? Even though TX is closer to us than FL, I have a hard time justifying sailing with DCL if there’s no private island stop…but I do love the Dream and Fantasy.
Galveston does not currently have LNG facilities. A company just received the final necessary permits to begin building such a facility, that would then support vessels in Galveston using fuel barges. So it will be several years before the capability exists.

I suspect that could be done sooner. There is certainly lots of LNG available down there so all they would need to do is bring a refueling barge alongside.

Yes
Yes, the Port of Galveston has liquefied natural gas (LNG) services available to ships. The Galveston LNG Bunker Port (GLBP) is a joint venture by Pilot LNG and Seapath Group, serving the growing clean-energy marine fuels market.
