Was that a thing? And that they learned their lesson in putting an imagineer who'd never been on a cruise before in charge and won't do that again.

Yes. The imagineer put in charge of designing the Wish class ships had never set foot on a cruise ship...and it shows.
Don't bet on it. The Astoria is 76 yrs old and still sailing, a little tender loving care periodically can go a long way.The Magic and Wonder are not long for this world
Of the interior design, not the layout, or ship.
I just found out my original source was incorrect, she has been docked since 2020, but that is still 72 years, and yes I knew that.
I feel the stage takes up a lot of unnecessary space. I don’t like how the elevators empty right outside Marvel as it creates a big issue at dinner time, we struggled to get off the elevator. I could use some more shade in the adult area. And tables should be further apart in the MDRs. Oh and the high end shops, get rid of those (I doubt that’s imagineering though.)No, I'd say the lounge layout is a fail. I'm also not a fan of the stage in what should be the open atrium.
I agree with you...The Wish isn’t my favorite ship but I do like some things better than on the classic ships, and some things are worse.
I have noticed that. Some of that may be that a) the design of the Triton ships is now a known commodity and b) there have not been too many sailings yet of the Treasure.Personally I feel it gets a lot of hate as it was different because the Treasure isn’t getting the same hate.

I would assume the Magic joins The Great Movie Ride and Splash Mountian in the sky in 2029, and her younger sister, Miss Wonder in 2030Don't bet on it. The Astoria is 76 yrs old and still sailing, a little tender loving care periodically can go a long way.
Yes or perhaps 2030 and 2031.I would assume the Magic joins The Great Movie Ride and Splash Mountian in the sky in 2029, and her younger sister, Miss Wonder in 2030
