Yeaaaaah. It looks incredibly gaudy. It looks like the mid-2000s when Cedar Fair/Paramount Parks had Nickelodeon. And they just plastered artwork all over pre-existing structures.
Most of us will never even consider it a possible vacation. Nor much of SE Asia. So far away.Ship looks amazing.
Think it will be doomed to fail though as there just wont be the market to fill it in singapore year round. Outside of singapore school holidays this ship could be very empty.
Very odd that the ship reveal Doesnt have its own thread given this is literally a dcl board. Why is that?
There is no such thing as “Triton” class of ships. “Triton” was the project name for the “Wish” class of ships.
The Wish’s (ship) blueprints confirm that the class of ships is called: “Wish”
This was also confirmed in the DCL Duo podcast.

Just those 2 mainstage shows. Also a slew of shows in the Enchanted Garden space. Baymax, Marvel, Sail Away, Jack Sparrow were announced. Also, a Moana pool deck show?So what are the theater shows?
Theres the standard goofy at seas one (disapointing given its so short and already on other ships), another mixed character one hosted by wall e. Is there anything else or are they still to announce one?
So instead of a third show they are going to repeat them on multiple nights so everyone can see them. I suppose that makes sense given the bigger capacity.Just those 2 mainstage shows. No problems. Most if us will never even consider it a possible vacation. Nor much of SE Asia. So far away.
Anyone can start a thread. No one has seemed interested enough. See first paragraph.
I think this ship with its intended audience/ guest demographics may seem like a step-sister. It didn’t start as one of the family.
Please don’t take this as criticism, it’s just what I imagine to be thoughts and attitudes.
I would imagine there’s a lot of potential to keep this ship going year-round. There are a lot of people on the other side of the world.
It will have a Mike & Sully Asian cuisine restaurant, but my first reaction was: why not Mulan themed?Did I miss it or there is no adults exclusive pool area ? Seems like what should have been Quiet Cove have been roped behind concierge instead. And whilst the first Disney roller coaster at sea is exciting, what happened to the water coasters ? You would think on a ship this big they could have at least fit some adult waterslides too (not just kiddie ones)? And there seems to be no mention of fireworks....
I've waited many years for a Mulan broadway show given it has IMO the best set of songs on any Disney movie, and this ship based in Singapore where they have ample access to an Asian cast would be the best chance of one. Yet not only is there no Mulan show, she is not even specifically featured on the Adventure. Is there any chance of a third broadway show they haven't announced?
Or at least spare Mulan an eatery? It's surprising that despite the large amounts of Chinese & SEA decendants in Singapore, there are no restaurants/lounges dedicated to Chinese or South East Asian cuisine (e.g. Malay, Vienamese or Thai, which could easily have been Raya themed, another missed opportunity). Instead we have Moana again for the quick-service restaurant, when she already has a whole themed area.
Very excited for a WALL-E show and Luca themed areas finally though.
It looks like that is mostly Japanese. Not Chinese or south Asian. Mulan doesn't work with Japanese. It will have a Mike & Sully Asian cuisine restaurant, but my first reaction was: why not Mulan themed?
Sorry, I beg to differ. There are barely (if at all) any direct flights from Asian cities to MCO, but TONS of direct flights to Changi from all corners of East and SE Asia in under 6 hours. The population there is much, much larger than North America and the demand is definitely high for the first ever Disney ship in Asia, within easy reach. The sailings from Australia are still a 9+hrs flight for many of these countries so we can't really compare how those have done to a brand new market with potential. No problems.
There is a lot of people on the other side of the world. But not much in Singapore and this is only in Singapore. Singapore (including all its tourists) probably has the same market size as australia/new Zealand. They are struggling to fill the wonder which is only there 4 months a year and is a third the size of the disney adventure.
Singapore is also further then three disney theme parks for the chinese/Japanese markets. Plus Japan's getting its own ship as well.
I'm sure they can fill it with normal cruise prices. But not disney prices with no port stops.
Singapore isn't in China....Mulan is a Chinese character. I'm failing to see the connection hereDid I miss it or there is no adults exclusive pool area ? But that doesn't mean they expect the ship to be full or for prices to be the same as in North America. They put in a range of scenarios and were ok with most of the possible outcomes, especially since they had such a cheap ship to start with. But they might be ok with the ship contributing little to the bottom line or even taking a loss for several years because it might be part of a broader strategy of growing their business in SE Asia.Disney agreed to a minimum 5-year deal for this ship to be in Singapore. There is no way they would have made that kind of commitment if they were not sure there was sufficient demand and population to fill this huge ship year round.

I’m a CC member but didn’t get the email. Are you based in the U.S.? Can you let me know what the booking date will be for Platinum? We get off the Dream on Dec 2 and hit platinum on that sailing. I think it should update within 24 hours and I want to book ASAP.Per an email sent to Castaway Club members this morning, the Disney Adventure will begin a staggered booking process with Pearl member on December 3, and bookings will open to the general public on December 9.
