Okay, so should I save my points for 2026? We're not taking a direct flight. We'll fly like to LAX, spend the night. Then the next day fly to Japan. I can hear @Liquidice teeth grinding!. Lol, honesty we cannot physically handle a direct flight, 8 hours on a plane is all we can take.

I'll look into Chase Travel for 2024 fall trip.

If you have Chase points hoarded, I highly recommend the Hyatt Centric in Ginza - it was an amazing location, newer hotel, and it was around 20k points/night.

Crazy Times

Sunday I purchased a flat of fresh organic raspberries for $10 which is an excellent deal. Purchased at Cattleman's. Monday night I loaded them up in my sink to rinse them so I could can them. To my shock about 80% were molded from the inside. The outside showed no sighs of mold. I took photos then trashed them and got my money back today.

Also today I went to Costco, I bought a frozen bag of organic mixed berries to can instead. I'm making syrup. I also wanted to buy a package of paper towels but those were sold out. They were sold out one hour after the store opened as was toilet paper. Despite Costco employees telling customers these items would not be a supply issue because they're made in the USA and shipped from Ohio, people still bought up to 5 packages each. Crazy stupid people!

What items do you buy that are shipped from another county?
Those are the items I would stock up on if my pantry was empty or low.

I hope Costco puts out a sign

My daughter has a very newborn baby and is having a hard time finding Kendamil baby formula now. As soon as word got out that there may be port strikes people started hoarding the formula... I'm not sure what she's going to do. I feel incredibly sad for her. First time mom...trying to do the best she can for her newborn baby and faced with this.

I hope so too. Went for my weekly main grocery run to Costco and TP was on my buy list (we are down to only a few rolls) and there was no TP at all. They just changed the aisle to all water (because they have plenty of that).

I have had a bad night/day. My older daughter who I beg not to bite her nails got pinworms. I can’t say ‘I told you so’ because that will set off a teen cryfest. So here I am deep cleaning and running constant loads of laundry. I am exhausted.
