Man, I can hardly stand it!! I'll be up at 3 am my time to call Disney!!!

You would save more money with 40% off Deluxe + Dining.

We don't. We save much more on free dining at WL standard than we would with 40% off the room and purchasing dining for 2 adults 1 15-year-old and 1 10 year old.

Just called and made reservations for March - with no code obviously.

AT first I said I just wanted to check the pricing and availability.. Got the info and then he said that I should go ahead and hold it so that when discounts are available - I have the room already reserved. Told me to just call back and check - from time to time - about discounts to apply it to me rate.

Maybe he knows something is coming out. NEVER has a CM told me to call back and check on discounts!

I was told the same thing this afternoon. I called to ask how our reservation for a room only package or basic package works in the event that an offer for room only discount comes out. Initially she said I would have to cancel and re-book and then later said no, any room only discount could be applied to that reservation as it stands.

THEN, I casually asked about checking if there were codes attached to our name and how often to check the website and she said to check back frequently that "something" should be coming. She must have told me three times in the rest of the conversation to check back frequently.

I'm hoping that Disney will come out with a room only discount for Oct 2 - December, for those of us who couldn't care less about free dining!

I feel sure they will. Seems like there is almost always a room discount going on.

Free dining for fall this year was released in April. The extension into Oct, Nov and December was just released about a month ago.

I just called to make my Grand Gathering reservations for June 2011, and was told that the reservation system was down for "unscheduled maintenance" and to call back after 9pm Central Time. I am wondering if they are installing all of the new discounts?

I tried looking at reservations online for POP and got that same message so Im guessing they might be implementing the rates and discounts. I wonder what time they will be effective

I just figured out the same thing for myself and my daughter at WL. Even 40% off doesn't equal what we would spend in two meals a day.

We arrive December 30, 2010. May have be considering a split stay to take advantage of any discount. But DH said do I what I have to do.

I'm doing a quick weekend trip, but any discounts will be awesome!! Especially if it saves some $$ LOL it's the first weekend in october....so would be very nice!

Has there been any speculation on the blackout dates? Right now we're doing November 19-26. So I was wondering if they'd lift the Thanksgiving blackout dates.

FD didn't really work in our favor since we could get discounted tickets through SOG. Since we're staying at the Poly a room discount works to our advantage. If a great room discount comes out I might add in Thursday evening (18th) as well to get it. Here's to hoping. Already have my alarm set to wake up early!

I am very eager for 2011 discounts! My trip dates all depends on the best discounts. May or August/Sept!
