Very curious to see what the AKL discount is. We already booked with free dining, but even a 25% discount would save us more. We currently have pool view booked, but it appears there's no availability even at full price for those rooms now during our stay. I guess we'll have a decision to make tomorrow at 7 am!

If by chance there is some kind of awesome discount for May 2011, then my DH could be persuaded into going again. Free dining always hooks him, but maybe a 40% off a deluxe with no dining will appeal to his cheaper side.

I'm hoping that Disney will come out with a room only discount for Oct 2 - December, for those of us who couldn't care less about free dining!

Well we usually stay club level and that includes breakfast.

I am anxiously awaiting for news. It might decide what kind of vacation we can have for DD's spring break. Right now we have a package booked at POFQ but if there aren't any deals (we were hoping for 4/3) for our dates we will stay at POP. Not a bad choice though.

Am I the only one who thinks this is NUTS????

I'm still pulling together the funds to pay for this year's vacation, and they want me to put money down on next year's vacation to make sure there is availability at the resort I want on the week I want?

Am I the only one who thinks this smacks of desperation on the part of Disney for a cash influx? Maybe there's something going on there?

What rabbit are they going to pull out of their hat once this card has already been played?

And seriously, they announced the room rates like LAST WEEK, all with price increases. Now they announce the discounts????

And..... (drum roll please)......... didn't they come out earlier this year and say no discounts the end of this year? So not only do we have discounts this year, but NEXT YEAR already too?

So they can't make up their minds on this, they are changing the Fantasyland Expansion plans..........

Hmmmm..... what's next????????

we had to cancel our trip this year, so we plan to go next year. I can only hope for discounts, because without one, we cannot afford to go and stay on-site.

I'm with you. We don't do the dining, just quick service and that plan isn't free when you stay at a Mod. Room only discounts work much better for us. Fingers crossed for tomorrow. Hoping to go Nov 28-Dec 4.

This is really smart to start earlier than later on promos. If these rumors prove true, people (much like myself) will commit to a Disney vacation instead of any considering other places. For example, last summer I wanted to plan an onsite vacation last year. Full price was way more than what I wanted to pay, and renting a condo sounded great (as far as price was concerned). Besides, how often has Disney released any special deals for mid-July) So I booked in February. As life would have it, Disney did release a FREE dining pin code (via email). Unfortunately, I was trapped in my non-refundable week in a condo. If Disney starts their promos early (more often) more people would commit early. And who can pass up FREE dining.

maybe the disney god's have decided times are hard and the economy is still crappy,so they will let us stack discounts just this once! I would love a room discount with my free dining. LOl. Doesn't hurt to wish.

I'm new to the code hunting, anyone know what time codes are traditionally released when they do so? TY
