New Discounts 8-16-10

Wow it would kind of be unprecidented for Disney to put out to the general public such offers for extended peroid of time. Also kind of goes against Iger's statement of weaning the public off of discounts.

Not only that, but what about AP holders? They have yet to offer anything to AP holders for even this Oct-Dec. With free dining requiring at least a two day park ticket this year, they left AP holders out completely for this fall/winter. We used to always get AP offers, before the GP.

I would love to see some new and different AP discounts this year. Let's hope the wait is worth it. I think it's time to start writing and asking why the AP holders are being left at the end of the line in the race for a discount! I normally book a few AP discounted nights and tie them to my DVC stays, but not lately as I can't rely on the AP discounts being there for me.

I e-mailed my TA to keep on the look out for this. 40% would take a big bite out of our room cost at the GF for July, if when we are going is not in the black out dates. Hope pixie dust will be spread over all of us!pixiedust:

I hope it's true! Even if it ends up not being true, I'll still be on the lookout for any discounts in 2011!:thumbsup2

popcorn:: I would love to know this too.

I would think the week starting March 12th would be considered Spring Break as that is when Peak Season begins in the resorts....which is of course when I am going...however.....they have been offering free dining throughout the summer when rates are even higher so don't know why they would not offer the spring break crowds a little incentive.

I am underwhemed and will probably cancel my upcoming trip if those are the discounts. It's only me and DS6 so the dining plan isn't a deal. We usually stay at Pop, but with increased weekend rates 20%(or 25, but if mods are 30 I'd bet on 20%) is not saving us much. The number of flights to Orlando has decreased so less nonstop flights, there are increased baggage fees, and cost of flights has gone up. Then there are the increases price of park tickets. I really can't justify spending that much money every year on WDW at higher prices than ever when WDW is cutting entertainment and park hours. They aren't weaning me off of discounts, they are weaning me off of WDW. :sad1:

subbing!

Hoping for some awesome discounts.....

All we need is a little faith, trust and pixie dust! pixiedust:

What's the odds on this actually happening on Monday, has anyone else heard anything about this??? would be the greatest thing ever!!!

I want to go with my Family January 2nd-11th, hope the codes are good for then!!!! We are looking foward to staying at pop century for the 4th time.....if we can't get a code, we can't afford to go..........COME ON CODE!!!!!!!!!!!

It is starting to show up on other sites also. Don't know if it just because of touring plans posted or if they are also hearing else where.

I havent booked yet but am looking at dates for the first part of december. I would love a discount so I can finally stay at AKL without taking out a second mortgage.:lmao:

Subbing for a possible 2011 trip. Probably the only way I'll be talking DH into it ;)

Anyone want to guess which MK resort would be pegged to get less of a discount? I'm thinking the Poly because it's cheapest? (And also because I'm a pessimist and we are booked there). Anyone know which MK resort usually has the most rooms to fill?

I am booked at WL but if that has a smaller discount I would pick Poly. If that is out I guess I would go Contemp. Don't really like GF or Cont.
