bought a new digital camera in wal mart.
sony 5.1 mega pixels cyber-shot.. $278 in wal-mart
had a shock when we got home, currys are selling the same camera for £259..
wow what a bargain buying from wal-mart!!
worth buying over there...

That sounds a great price was it a special offer or a standard RRP? What memory card does it use?
Id like a new one mines a little bulky and only 2 million!

Both DD and DS have bought digital cameras from Walmart and been really pleased with the price.

Bought end of line model both times.

I didn't think they were quite so cheep for memory cards though.

it wasn't on special offer, that was the price!
It comes with a 32mb memory stick and 4 re-chargable batteries + the re-charger!!
I had a fuji one last xmas and found that it was too bulky, so i replaced it with this new sony one. Its a fantastic camera well worth the money. I bought a 128mb memory stick for it and it was only around $43.
Have a look on the walmart website, it does come as $5more than i paid though.. in at $283.
The camera is Sony Cyber-shot 5.1 mega pixels DSC-P93.
I have heard that sony will be bringing out a 7 mega pixel one!

Ill check out the site Im not going until Dec 05 so plenty of time to work it all out
Last Dec I bought a 256 MB memory card from Walmart which at the time was a lot cheaper than here but memory has come down a heck of a lot this year
A 7 Million camera though!!! Whers it all going to end!!!

Tim the 7megapixels is already out... what a good price as well!! might have a look at that in walmart next year if they have it.....!!!!
