I'm thinking of booking here with this special. Has anyone stayed here? How big are the one bedroom suites? Is it clean and quiet?

I've stayed here, and it is a nice place. We did not have the 1BR suite, but the room was a nice size with a fridge and microwave. The pool area is great for the kids as there is a zero-entry area much like the one at Animal Kingdom Lodge, and also a pool slide and some squirting crabs. There is also a playground for kids and a pool bar that makes drinks/snacks.

The breakfast is nice. No waffle maker, but there are so many choices---toast, bagels, muffins, do-nuts, waffles (frozen kind), yogurt, fresh fruit, juices and milk, coffee. There is an outside porch from the breakfast room to enjoy your meal that you might want to consider as the breakfast room can get crowded. The lobby is very "homey" and welcoming. There are fresh baked cookies at the front desk in the afternoons.

FWIW, I consider this to be a great deal! I would definitely go back!

I didn't see it on my TZ email. Glad you sent it! Thnaks. :thumbsup2

Thanks Sweet Maxine, I just booked and part of my stay was on the blackout dates (Memorial weekend) but had found a lower rte thanthe rack rate on Expedia and mentioned it to the phone clerk who let me have that rate for the extra days so it was still cheaper than I had found at other nice one bedroom places.

HMMMMMM...maybe I should switch from The Palms Suites Lakeside to here?!?!?!?!? Also I see on TravelZoo's Orlando page that you can book at Cypress Palms for $59 a night through Extra Holidays for a 3 bdr. villa for $79 a night at Universal Resorts Kissimmee Villas through bookit. Anyone ever used those 2 sites to book a place? :confused3

Ok you have convinced me to change my ressie's to country inn & suites, saving us $40 a night is a great deal and they have a pool slide.

Going to the Travelzoo site and clicking on this hotel there appear to be a few more blackout dates than the one listed in original post unless I read post wrong.
