New code watch - October/November

Thanks for heads up on BGR being changed to allow for bookings 60 days or more. I saved myself 25.00. That's some scrapbook goodies for me!!!

I know it is just wishful thinking, but maybe this lack of AP & general codes means Disney is whipping something else up....like another free dining package. In the past, AP rates are usually released the day before FL Res rates. FREE FALL DINING, kinda has a ring to it! :flower:

I am sorry to sound so naive but where do you get the codes?
In my case I just logged into passholder part of disneyworld.com and booked a best guest rate(bgr). You need to be an annual passholder and have a cc in your name to do this.

I have NO interest in free dining. I already have my AP from last year so I don't want a package and although the dining plan gives you lots of food my 3 kids don't want to do lots of sit down meals. I've already got AAA discount on my reservation so I'll be OK with that but I'd much rather have AP discount on the room. I hope (and believe) that Disney will offer both.

We are in the exact same position. We have APs, we have DDE, we are booked at AAA rate. Just give me an AP room rate, PLEASE!!

This is the way I felt when I was booked at AKL. Staying at a deluxe, the AP discount is worth more than the dining......but we switched to POP. Staying at a value, the Free Dining would end up being the better deal. Who am I kidding though - I don't think we are going to get a darn thing :rotfl:

They better come out or I'm going to be sleeping in my rental car!!!

I been watching and reading the past few weeks. I know never to pay attention to anything a CM tells someone about AP rates and I still hoping for an AP rate my trip is less the 60 days, sure hope Disney does the right think to us faithful visiters. I been every year for the last 7 years sometimes twice.

I'm booked at the Poly with a rake rate, don't like what I'm paying but promised my GD we would stay at the Poly. I'll pay the rake rate if I have to. Without a last minute AP rate this will be my last on site visit if I'm being shut-out. There are some great hotel in Florida 1/5 the price of the Disney Resorts. That would pay for my rental, food and probably air fare.

I hate the Best Rate Program, I'm a last minute booker which shut me out, plus I never know if we can get away until the last minute. Besides if something come up and you have to cancel you lose the deposit. I think not. I know lots of people love the free dining, last thing I want to do is spend my Disney time sitting in restaurants I didn't come to Disney to dine. If AP rates are a thing of the past why bother having one.

Oh well maybe there's still hope!

I've got a split stay booked por/bc Oct 14-23. I'm starting to think of switching to an all por stay if there aren't going to be codes. I'm starting to worry that if I wait too long there won't be availability. This code game is really making me crazy.

Couldn't you just change POR to your full days now and keep BC since you've already paid the 1 night's deposit on both? You've got til 5 days out til cancel the extra days on POR or BC so you'll certainly know by then if rates are coming out.

Use the rental car money for a stay at the values and use ME? :teeth:

I'm afraid they will come out with rates when I'm at Disney. I guess I'll have to call every morning from my hotel room if they don't come out tomorrow or Saturday.

Alleluia! :bounce:

lovesdumbo,

how would I make an overlapping reservation. When I call they already have all of my info in the system on this ressie. I've heard of people making multiples, but I guess I don't understand how this can work? :confused3

Don't you have 2 seperate reservations? I think you can just call (I use 1-800-828-0228) and add days to your POR reservation. I think I've held multiple reservations while trying to decide where to stay. I doubt they will say anything to you and if they do tell them the truth-you're waiting to see which one you can afford. I thought I had read that they would let you hold 3 reservations but I don't know if thats true. Its worth the free phone call!
