Is everyone here waiting for the current promotion to end to see if there is another?

I have my reservations made with AAA rate and just waiting to see what comes out if anything. If X happens then I will do this. If not maybe Y will happen and then I will do that. The trouble is if X and Y both happens do I make a Z plan

I am driving my DH crazy. Personally I can't wait to get out of this wait and see mode.

I'm booked with the Best Rate program and am just waiting to see what happens. We're going Nov. 6th-15th (and I'm still getting over being annoyed that that's not Value Season anymore).. so, waiting to see what comes up in the next couple of weeks.

I spoke to someone at Disney a couple of weeks ago who was responding to my email saying that I did not like the "Best Rate" program, because of the deposit forfeiture and the 120 days+ booking time frame.

Anyway, he indicated to me that AP rates would "probably" still be coming out and to look for them 6 weeks before the current ones expire. Since the current ones go to October 4, 6 weeks prior would be next Tuesday.

So, I am keeping my fingers crossed.

I'm in also. Trying to get WL for Oct 14 - 17th (After striking out at the Swan/Dolphin due to big convention). The wait is killing me!!

I really thought there would be codes today, since yesterday ended the free meal plan. I really do hope codes come out soon for the general public, although, I won't hold my breath since there haven't been any room codes all year for the general public

I have no hope for Thanksgiving....I guess we will be paying rack at BWI con. (we are NOT rich people-very middle of the the road, more on the down side)...

Thanksgiving is typically a tough time to find discounts. Perhaps the week after but Thanksgiving week is tough. We are at a moderate for Thanksgiving Day until that Sunday moving to a deluxe on Sunday. The prices at the moderate were discounted a "tad" due to our AAA discount but other than that ... it is pretty much rack rate. But one never knows. Just gotta keep watching.

If you are willing to stay at the Swan or Dolphin, we got a great rate over Thanksgiving weekend. They still had rooms available at a discounted rate yesterday when we booked a 2nd room for my DH's DD and her family. I love both the Swan & Dolphin and it sure is a heck of alot cheaper than $500 a night.

I emailed my AAA agent today and asked her a few questions about the free dining plan. She wrote back to me.....

I've checked with Disney about the free dining. This is what they have done in the past, and may do it the same way if it is extended. If it is, they will rebook the reservation, and apply the free meals. Yes, you could still get the AAA discount. I'll keep an eye on it, but if you see it first, please let me know and I'll call immediately.

That is good to know. I did mention to my AAA agent when I booked my trip for the end of October that if Disney extended the free dining I wanted in! so I asked her to keep a watch out for it and I am watching too!!
