subscribing....but also wanted to say - Missypie - go w/o dh! My DHwas a big pip when we went in May, did nothing but moan and complainabout the heat, the lines, the walking bla bla bla.
He complained more than all 4 of our kids combined. I fully intend to let him sit it out next time. He won't like it - but I would rather allow the kids to enjoy themselves.

I second that! My DH has no interest in WDW, so he stays home. We have a blast without him becuz we are on the same page and we just GO GO GO ! I wouldn't want to go hunting :rotfl2: , so we do our own deals and do ones together too!

I used to be able to get POP and other Value Resorts for 55.00 a night WITH tax. ;) I realize, this year I won't be paying that. :guilty: I wonder how much I will be paying for my CBR ressie when the code comes out for that? Used to be $109.00. :confused3

:wave2: What is this free dining plan that everyone is talking about? We will be staying at WL first week of Oct.

Along with releasing special discount codes for Disney resort rooms this fall, Disney announced last week that they will include a FREE Dining plan add-on with a 3-night or longer Magic Your Way Package. This offer is good for arrivals at Walt Disney World between August 21 and October 4 for a Magic Your Way package for 3 nights or longer at a Disney hotel. To receive this special offer, you must book by July 3, 2005. To book this offer, call 1-407-WDISNEY or your travel agent.

My sister had already been booked. I told her about this and she called and got the dining plan, which she already had booked, now for free. Getting around $600 taken off her total!

has anyone booked an ap rate and only shown the voucher at check in before activating them. We will not be activiate our passes untill the night after check in?

Don't worry about it. You can show them the voucher and, worst case, they will ask you to stop by the desk again (prior to the night before checking out) and *show* them your AP. I've never had a problem. One time I left my AP in the car and when the CM @ POR asked for it, I recited the # - which she entered into her computer - and I was "good to go"!! :wizard:

Looking for Rates during the Oct 7 thru Oct 15....I checked some old history of my previous bookings in the last few years and the rates came out between August 14 and the 19th. So I Hope HOpe HOpe that they will. But we are going no matter what since I have already purchased airfare. Anyone else going that week. I am attending the Epcot Illuminations Dinner on the 10th and the NOt So Scary Halloween Party on the 11th. :earsgirl:

And, if I ever buy the tickets, we're going to MNSSHP on the 11th also! It will be me, DH, DD12, and DD2. We will probably stay at the AS Mo, unless there are only AP rates at the other AS or POP. I am crossing everything in hope that there are AP rates for our visit. I think it stinks that we will just miss out on free dining and best rate :sad2: , not to mention the lack of AP discounts on MNSSHP tickets just during our trip period. Do you think the 11th will be crowded due to Columbus Day being the day before? I was considering the 13th (Thurs) instead for this reason.

Mary of Mousesavers shows the dates as being later than this for Oct and on(Aug 28th in 2003, and August 25th for 2004)..which agrees with my records. So I wouldn't worry about it until the end of August, if you need an AP rate to stay onsite:

Just got my Mickey Monitor. Nothing new for AP holders in terms of codes.

that the AP rates should be out early September for that time frame. Seems like the BEST RATE PROGRAM is not going over too big with the PA holders - go figure.

Got AAA rates as a back up and plan on switching when new rates become available.

Just curious if the CRP mentioned that the best rate program wasn't going over great as many who call are being told that it is very popular. As it is right now I think it stinks. It will be interesting to see if they allow those of us booked with the AP Best Rate program to apply a lower AP rate to our current ressie if they are offered. If not, then you can bet they will have ALOT of upset AP holders.

I couldn't tell you whether it is good or not; everytime I try to click on the "Book Now" button the website does nothing so I have never been able to see what the AP Best Rate Program is. :sad2:

Me too!

I was looking at the historical dates and last year they came out Aug 26, a Thursday.
2003 it was Aug 28, also a Thursday. So I'm guess the fourth Thursday in Aug for them to release AP rates (if they do at all)

I called Sunday to make a payment on my ressie for Nov. I asked the CM when the FL. RESIDENTS code will be out, and she said: "Next week or the week after." :cool1: So, hoping for those codes! :hourglass

I really hope this is true!! I need AP codes for October 27 & 28 and was really stressing  at the thought of paying rack rate  :scared:!

Im stressing about not having rooms, it is super soap weekend, but my husband refuses to pay rack rates, I would book, he says "WAIT WAIT WAIT." IT'S KILLING ME. 11/12-13 to extend our already eight day vacation at dvc.

We're booked at AAA rate 10/26 - Nov 2 (5 of us, 3 rooms), so an AP discount would be REALLY REALLY appreciated!
