New Clothes/Bathing Suit for your upcoming Disney Trip?

So if any of you cute little things see a crabby old lady glaring at you, stop by & say hi!!! :yay:

LOL!!! We will be there the same time. Keep your eye out for someone with a pink or teal blue Vera Bradley lanyard with a Lime Green Mickey head and photopass hanging from it.

Oh, to answer the quesiton... DD got a lot of new clothes for the last trip in March due to a big growth spurt. Try buying cheap spring/summer clothes President's Day? Thank goodness Hanna Andersson got in a bunch of stuff, not cheap but fits her a long time due to the way it is cut. This Sept (super budget) trip I am just going to get some new undies-lol. I already bought way too many flip-flops and swimsuits this summer!

We did just buy shoes for our Feb 2011 WDW/DCL trip. I got at Land's End a pair of silver flip flops to go with all my dinner clothes. DD got a pair of sandals at the Stride Rite outlet ($10-whoo hoo!) to wear in the dining room.

maybe I should change the name on my LGMHs from POOCH to CRABBY OLD LADY!!!

I buy my whole group new clothes, tennis shoes, and flip flops. My oldest DD and I go and get pedi and our hair done...i get mine colored ;) I like shopping and i like being able to go on a vacation with new clothes to wear. I usually just buy it and fold it and stick it in the luggage. We leave in less than 2 weeks and we have been packed for a while now. :thumbsup2

I do! I am always on the lookout for new things for the next trip. This time i have a whole bunch of new shirts, a new vera bradley (road tested at a reds game), and a new pair of sunglasses. Hopefully the week before the trip I'll get my hair done and get a pedi :)

I will buy new sneakers and a few new tops too!

My mom and I both do it.

maybe it's a girl thing? LOL

I don't usually buy too much new stuff - I like to wear the old T-shirts from previous visits, but this year is different. I have dropped 52 lbs and lost 5 dress sizes, so I need a complete new wardrobe. Have managed to find loads of tops in the local shops, but am hoping to but new denim shorts when I get there. As we don't tend to have too many mani/pedi placed in the UK, I treat myself to a pedi in the store at the Florida Mall whilst DH wanders around all of the menswear departments!!!

52 lbs!?! Congrats! Rock your new wardrobe!! :yay::woohoo::banana:

Pooch - you took the words right out of my mouth!!! I'll be the OTHER "fluffy" one in her 50s looking crabby at all the people running around in CUTE little outfits (and wishing....):lmao:

I will get a haircut about two weeks before the trip - by then I MIGHT be able to get it the way the hairdresser did on the day I had it done.

New clothes? NOPE - not at all. As long as something isn't stained or ripped and will remain zipped, I take clothes that I can "part with". Most clothing gets "retired" from my wardrobe as it gets worn while I'm at WDW - gives me more room in my luggage to bring home new stuff that I buy there (there is a much larger -pardon the pun- selection of plus sized and less expensive clothing in the US than here in Canada) and souvieners...(I do it even more so now that the weight restrictions/baggage size charges with the airlines). Now if there is something that I need to replace/buy before the trip, I will do that (think NEW socks)...but not because of the trip - just because I need the item.

Not usually. I usually just wear the same old, same old. That way if I ruin anything, I won't be mad at myself for wrecking something new.

Heck, I don't normally get new shoes either. I just wear my old comfy ones.

I used to splurge on a bag though. Finding the perfect bag was hard. Now I mostly go bagless so I don't even do that.

It sure makes DH happy since I'm not spending alot of extra money before the trip.

52 lbs is an amazing transformation and this crabby old lady gives you full permission to buy all the cute clothes you want and strut your stuff!!!

I'm waiting to purchase new duds for our trip - wanna drop about 10 more lbs before we go! I've picked up a couple of new things for DD, waiting to find some cute things for DS. DH won't want anything new (he's weird!), and I'll probably pick up a couple of tops/shorts before we head out!

Of course I do. I am in the fortunate position of making two trips this summer, one in June with the whole family and then one in August for our anniversary. I get my hair cut 10 days in advance, pedi/mani right before leaving, got new golf type skorts that worked great in June so I ordered a few more :rotfl: and of course a new Vera Bradley hipster! I also bought a pair of shorts, skirt and t for this trip in August. All that's left is the socks, love those new socks ;)

The kids keep growing like weeds (what is up with that! LOL) so they are always needing new items anyway, I like a bargain and only buy sale stuff. I pick it up various stores (Wal-Mart does have plenty Disney character clothing for the whole family) and only on one trip did we buy specially made t-shirts beforehand. I like to primp before we go (hey its a vacation and less work is better while you are on it, besides that perky camera is out in full force, gotta TRY and look relatively decent to be captured in time), however I might not have the time or money to have it professionally done but sure do take extra time to mani/pedi/wax before I go anyway. I get my hair done every three months but make sure its ready for the trip!
I also have a Disney box where I pick up little trinkets/nicknacks/misc items for when we go, this way I know where I put them before our trip and can pack quicker!
