Either we get a new vehicle

or

we lease a vehicle

Can't make up my mind

Any input on the subject??

A lot depends on many variables; auto use, miles driven, financing, model of car (some are better bought, some better leased), desired hold period.....

We lease both of our cars, too. The advantage for us of leasing is that we don't put any money down on the cars, the monthly payment is lower than it would be if we bought, and when we're getting tired of the cars (about 2.5-3 years) we turn them in and get new ones. Leasing is not a good deal if you drive a lot, because most leases restrict your mileage to 12,000 or 15,000 miles a year for the length of your lease. Most car manufacturers websites have the build a car option. When you use their tools to build your car, most of the time there is an option to calculate payments. You can use that to calculate lease payments.

We buy our cars, but then we keep them an average of 10 years. If I was getting a new one every few years I would probably lease.
