So there's a couple things I want to add for anyone considering. What the 11 month advantage really gets you at BLT is a shot at booking the standard view rooms which are really nice point savers. In my experience the standard view studios and standard view dedicated 2 bedrooms are usually the first to go. The other thing I would mention is that BLT is currently showing its age however it is coming up on a full refurb in 2023/2024 and if we go by the recent refurbishments it is going to be amazing. This is a really tempting offer to add on and I'm going to be giving my guide a call.

Completely agree about BLT SV rooms. I’ve been looking at availability and I can attest that all SV rooms, including the 1BRs have been walked everyday since October. And it’s still going! I’m not sure where people are walking to. It’s almost as hard as getting those AKL value or concierge rooms. I’ve never stayed in one but I imagine those rooms to be pretty worn down from constant occupancy. WRT the upcoming hard refurb, I’m hoping that it will be the nicest rooms on property once it’s done, even nicer than Riviera if I could be so bold. Can’t wait!

Are you sure it’s walking? If they are not coming back then it’s people actually booking and no way to know which are walks and which are not.

Plus if it is walkers then getting the room for dates ones wants wi happen as they go on by and the rooms open back up.

Every morning, only the first day of the reservation is unavailable. I’m guessing the marchers follow right after as well. Hey, I get it though. Competition is steep and you gotta do what you gotta do.

The standard view 1BRs are constantly booked far out, maybe not exactly 11 month, but definitely within the priority window. They are excellent value, and that extra bathroom makes them a really luxurious room for the points.

Yeah, so many resale savings now around 25% and lower, used to be easy to get 35-40%

Does anyone think they may take away the sleeper chair in the 1 bedrooms at BLT? I really hope not.. That is one reason I am really considering BLT over VGF.. I like the 1 bedroom at BLT so husband and I have our own space and then my son and daughter are able to have separate beds…. I love my BCV home, but the one thing I don’t like is that they have to share a sleeper sofa bed when we get 1 bedrooms there (which we always do).. which is quickly becoming something they dont want to do as they are getting older.. hence why I need to buy more points so I can get a 2bedroom there!

Even if they did, I don’t think BLT would ever get rid of the 5th sleeper option. A 1BR with 2 full bathrooms seem excessive if it were to ever sleep 4. It would also create a BLT owners insurrection. I’d be the first one to grab that pitchfork!

I don’t think so because there is plenty of room for it.

That is true that no bad rooms. I would just want always to be on the outside of the curve, but the views from the inside to the lake are just as amazing.

I can't imagine they'd reduce total capacity. I could see them maybe replacing the chair with one of those small not-quite-twin Murphy beds, but I don't think they'll move off of a 1 bedroom sleeping 5.
