new blog: Want to Meet Walt Disney? Visit the Walt Disney Family Museum!

Thanks for posting the link! I went to the Museum last October and just loved it. It was very well done and informative; there was a lot of information that I didn't know. It was astounding seeing the artifacts that had been displayed. I think my favorite was the multi-plane camera. I never realized how big it was! Definitely worth a trip if you are in SF.

I am happy to hear you enjoyed the museum. The multi-plane camera on display at the museum, which spans three stories of the building, is much larger than the one on display at the Walt Disney Studio Archives.

I'm curious about transportation to the museum for those that don't have a car. Via Google Maps I see that there are some public transit options that drop off at the edge of the Presidio, and from there you have a mile walk. Are there any shuttles within the Presidio that take you the rest of the way?

I'm not sure of this number, but I think it's #28 that bisects the Presidio and goes along the north side. The line I'm thinking of goes to Lincoln Park near the south end of the Golden Gate Bridge. The city buses are called Muni, run by SFMTA, San Fran Municipal Transporation Authority who also run the cable cars, street cars and small above and below ground light rail. They don't run Bart.

Inside the Presidio is a shuttle system. I haven't used it so don't know any detail except that it exists.

I went to see the museum last year and my kids enjoyed and learnt many things about Walt Disney Family. It’s amazing to see the interactive galleries that include drawings and animation, movies and music, It’s wonderful to see Disney’s achievements which impacted human lives for generations.

MUNI is SF's regular public transit system: http://www.sfmta.com

There is a separate shuttle bus for the presidio, in which the museum is located: http://www.presidiobus.com/
