Knott’s Scary Farm Halloween Haunt debuted on October 26, 1973, as a three-night event in the Ghost Town section. Now celebrating its 41st year, the month-long Haunt is the largest Halloween event of any theme park and has expanded throughout the entire park. Mary Jo Mellado Willey and I attended the Knott’s Haunt 2013 on separate nights and shared our experiences on a recent episode of The DIS Unplugged Podcast: Disneyland Edition.

I have an update to my review of "Trapped: The New Experiment" maze of the Haunt. In my review I stated the experience was less gross than the previous year. Well, due to guest complaints this has been corrected. Based on what I have been told, I do not think I would enjoy the current version of Trapped. I suspect this means future versions will have a heightened grossness factor to meet guest expectations.
