New AP Rates Are Out

I couldn't log on this morning either - samething it wouldnt accept my AP!

OK it's working now. They have been updating or something.

Where on the site can you check the AP rate? I can't find the new dates!

I'm ready to cry. A few of you have gotten standard view at WL and I called ALL day trying to get standard or woods view there with no luck. :( I called at 7am on the dot this morning and I'm STILL on hold!! It's been 56 minutes - this can't be normal. I'm calling the Grand Gatheings line because they say they can't ever help me on the regular line since we booked a GG.:sad2:

yeah i hate to say it but it is normal to wait
they probably dont have enough people working this a.m. and more will come in at 8 and more at 9

Wow - I've heard of people waiting 1/2 hour, but now I'm listenig to the "wait music" for the second time around - it's been over an hour!!

That stinks  I've been watching your posts since yesterday when we were both trying to get the discount. I hope it works out for you. Post whatever happens here. :wizard:

Could the problem be is that you need more than one room? It only takes one day that the resort is not available that can affect your entire reservation.

Hmm..that might be it. I did have the CM check or all of our rooms and then just for one room (a little disocunt is better than no discount!), but he could only get the bunk bed rooms that e couldn't use. Maybe it's because we're staying 6 nights. Who knows. I finally hung up this morning after 1:45 - my kids were being neglected! ;) I'm on hold again right now though - it's been 1/2 hour and I've only got about 10 more minutes before I have to go somewhere. I'll keep trying though - my mom is treating us this trip and I would LOVE to save her some money!!

can some-one give me the link to the pass holder's site? I am one but have no idea where it is....thanks~~

So let me ask you guys a question - in your opinion, are the FL resident discounts typically (historically) as good as this AP discount? I am currently booked at BCV but wouldn't mind switching to BC if I could get the discount. I do not have an AP - but my TA told me that it would only be $350 for me as a FL resident. So it sounds like I would still save money overall because the room savings would be more than the $350 plus I would have an AP. But if I can maybe get the same deal with a FL resident rate - I would rather go that route. Thanks!

I have found that FL resident rates tend to be within a few dollars of the AP rates. We have the FL Resident Seasonal APs which are a lot cheaper than regular APs. The SAPs do have blackout dates so as long as you don't plan on going to WDW during the blackout dates the SAP is a much better deal. I believe that the only AP perk that SAPs don't get is the free theme park parking which you'll get as a resort guest. The resort discounts, the shopping/dining/tour discounts are all the same. And you can also get the DDE with the SAP.

I apologize if this has been mentioned before, but here is a WDW Annual Pass Discount for rooms only from March 30th to May 21st. $79.00 for a Pop Century during the week. The quote below can be seen by logging on to the wdw web site and signing in using your annual pass information at www.disneyworld.com/passholders .

And I belive that I also saw it in www.mousesavers.com website, too, if you look in the top right hand corner.

not to hi jack, but I wanted to let you know that they may take the voucher, but you are safer getting it activated first. I just got back and activated my voucher in DD before check in. You may just want to call the resort to make sure. I am just passing on info I was told. I'd hate for you to get there and try your voucher, them not take it and then you'd have to go to DD or a park to activate it.

Oh, thanks for the tip! I'm actually activating it in a couple of weeks when my daughter and I go down for a weekend starting the 14th. We're heading straight to the park when we get there, so we should be good. :goodvibes

You may miss most of us. It's back to school up North the 28th. What are your dates?

April 23rd to the 29th.

I've come to accept our impending doom... ;) We have all of our ADRs lined up and we do have (rack rate, booo) at POFQ. I'll be more zen about it now - if it's busy, it's busy. If we get an upgrade, we get an upgrade. I'll try to stop stressing about it.

I'm just bummed out b/c this trip is a treat for my Mom (a "now that I'm gainfully employed I can spoil the heck out of you some more" trip). I just wanted to surprise her with an upgrade. :headache:

Just called WDW toll-free reservation number and changed our room-only AAA reserv. for the Poly. May 11-17 to room-only AP rate.

Read that others were getting the hard sell for meal plan, but she didn't even ask me (I didn't use the package AP code, just the FJC room-only so maybe that's why). Also read that Poly. isn't included, but it is, at least a garden-view room for our dates. Lastly, Mousesavers had posted a weekend rate higher than a weekday rate, but that's not so -- triple confirmed this.
Here's our #s for the 6 nights INCLUDING TAX in case you were told you couldn't book the Poly. AP room-only rate for through May 21st:
Rack Rate = $2,681
AAA Rate = $2424
AP Rate = $2,079 -->Savings over rack rate = $602 = 22.45% (sure liked those 40% savings in the olden days). Will more than pay for my AP and DH and kids already have non-exp.tixs from last trip. Not sure if we'll buy that dining discount card, but definitely not adding a family meal plan (DS10 and DD10 still eat off the children's menu). Good luck everyone!:wizard:

Thanks for the info on the AP's and seasonal passes. I haven't tried to get one yet because I am still holding out for the FL resident rates. I thought they may be out today - but no luck. Does anyone know when they may come out? I am getting nervous waiting...and wondering if I should just get a seasonal pass and try for the AP code.

I thought some other poster said they come out a few days after the AP codes.

Good luck. :)

I was surprised as well that they hadn't come out yet, but I think it will happen very soon. Have you tried to call? They usually come out the day after AP rates do but could be a bit longer. I'm holding out. Not so sure I'll be able to swing the resort we want anyway because it won't be those same deep discounts like Oct. and early Dec.:sad2:
