  This is GREAT news. Now, does anyone know if there is still a cancellation penalty?

Old BRP "Unlike our normal cancellation policy, a non-refundable deposit of one-night's room charge and tax must be paid at the time of booking."

New Passholders Benefit "Normal deposit/cancellation fees apply"

No Mention Of Codes For Deluxe Resorts. Also, Please Navigate Me As How To Find The Benefits On The Disney World Site. I Find The Site Not Very Friendly. Thanks.

Great news!!! I knew there was something in the works to supplement the BRP!! Awesome, not just check what the deluxe rates are looking like, and I'll let ya'll know

That's a great DEAL. Considering that is peak season, the room normally goes for $115 a night now. That is a $35 savings per night. I have a room for February during value season, $79 a night and have it for $49 a night, so only a $30 savings.

I completely wrote off our Feb trip because I was sick of these disney AP games and all the price hikes for dining. i may have to reevaluate.

Wow, you guys are great. I just saved $110 on my current AAA reservation for the end of January.

$115 a night for a Value?????

Yikes.

Yeah - Guess it is a good deal. Doesn't seem like it though given the discount rate for January is only $49a night.

I have a question. I have an AP which expires on 26th June. Unfortunately we can't get back to Disney World before that but hopefully we'll get there in October. Now that Disney say "For Passholders who like to plan ahead, you can now see offers months in advance" is it feasible that I might be able to book my rooms for October using my current AP? I know I would still need to buy a new AP for my October trip but at least I can buy it in my own time then without the pressure to buy it before booking a room. Does any of that make any sense? :rotfl2:

With BRP they would automatically adust the rate on existing ressies if it went lower, will this no longer happen with the new changes for AP holders? In a way, this kind of irritates me as I just made my ressies and felt like I had a little piece of mind and wouldn't have to keep checking rates over and over again in case new codes came out. Grrrrr!

I'd love to know this, too, or rather if the new method will allow me to book with an AP rate & I can wait to buy my new AP once we arrive in Orlando in Sept (just like in the past!) ::yes::

DebIreland, A little off subject but your baby is gorgeous!! :dog:

Aw, thanks! :) She was just a couple of months old then - she's 21 months now and getting bigger and louder by the minute! lol

I can't believe it - this is music to my "mouseears" - Thank you Disney. I was considering not renewing my AP because of BRP's crazy rules...but now I fully intend to renew. This is some of the best news I've heard in a long long time - Disney news anyway.

At least they seem to be tweaking it in favour of the AP holders....just need those summer rates now please!!! Anyone have any idea what the likely discounts on Regular season are likely to be?

LOL - I am still waiting for Christmas 2006 rates but at least it looks like they might come out sooner now :sunny:
