Ditto! Too bad the Yanks won, cause we root for whomever they're playing!

...PHFFFTTTTTTT!!! Hey, I'd say I was a Mets fan, too, if I weren't ASHAMED that they are only 37-1/2 games out of 1st place!!!

Kim, just like mom says,"A little bit of struggling and hard times builds character"! GO METS! M...E...T...S...METS, METS,METS!

THAT'S an understatement!

(Hey, Cat, can't wait for your trip report....;) !)

Ditto to FC. Ratts...we're home too. After a 1.5 hour delay at MCO (GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!) and a bumpy flight.

We are really sad to have left. It's gonna take me a few days (weeks?) to get back in the saddle again.

More info tomorrow. The "secret" has been planted! I will post details tomorrow.

FloridaCat and Majestic:

Im sorry to hear your trips went so quickly for you, I know exactly how you are feeling. We left the lodge on the 23rd of August, and now, here I am still missing it so bad. Especially the Music, the sights the smells. Im such a sap. But it took me most of 2 weeks to get out of my major funk, and the only thing that cured that was..........Planning another trip.........:) So we are going back this time for 10 days instead of 7. It just wasnt enough. So now you have to plan another trek back to the grand ole lady.

Anywho ... Glad to see you both back, and happy that you and your families had a safe trip home and back again. Cant wait to keep reading more.

kimmar: thanks for the info! :D

Oh and as one fellow Yankee fan to another....

DON'T MESS WITH THE YANKS! PINSTRIPES FOREVER!!! ;)

Fred, FC,
Welcome back! It never seems as if there is enough time at Disney. Thank God my parents are taking us back for Christmas, just wish we could have gotten the lodge.

Fred, can't wait to see all the photos.

Hello everyone!!!

We are safely back from our trip and we had a great time and really loved the lodge with only a few exceptions....will try to get to my trip reports asap, trying to get caught up and back in the groove of real life. I hope everyone has been well while we were away!! Thanks for all the helpful info that everyone shared, it really helped make our trip even better!!

Welcome back Corky. Looking forward to your trip report.

Fred, the suspense is killing me!!

Just a quick note that my trip reports are posted from pre-trip to day 5. I hope to finish by tomorrow. They are a bit long, sorry, but I wanted to capture each day in my memory.

Welcome home everyone who has recently come back, I've enjoyed reading everyone reports. Makes all those memories come rushing back.

Special note to Fred: You lucky guy! The VP suite no less, very special! I really enjoyed you reports while you were there. I marvel at you finding the time to write!

Best wishes and pixie dust to all my Lodge friends! You all helped to make our trip one to remember for a long time!

Majestic

I've been hitting the refresh button all day on my browser waiting for your post. I guess I'm not a very patient person :)

DD wanted to buy me a gift in the Merchatile and I told her I wanted a CD of the Lobby Music. Sad, no such critter exists. The CM was kind enough to go and have a copy printed for me. I promised Majestic I would post for all.

The big surprise....ok...It took a little planning and LOTS of searching around at the Lodge but I finally did it.

I left a Wilderness Lodge Memories Box somewhere on the property. See, I wanted to have a place where all us DIS'rs could go to sign our names and list our stay dates (arrive and depart) plus room numbers, leave a pin or small trinket, take a pin or small trinket, photographs, etc.

LODGERS! THIS IS OUR BOX! It is a small tupperware box that has 2 long pencils, a sharpener, and plenty of index cards that are sealed within a plastic ziplock bag. I even included a few Alien Green Mickey Ears for those that couldn't find them and need one. The only thing I ask is that we are notified if any supplies are low or you can't find the box there. I did post a phone number to call in case it was found by a cast member and the box is clearly labled with a DO NOT DISCARD! IF FOUND CALL..... note on the lid.

I figured we now have one thing that connects us all and the lodge and it doesn't matter what time of year you go. It "should" always be there. Then, when you come back the next year, you can go back to it and see all the memories hidden within!!!

I hid it somewhere out on the Nature Trail that starts by the boat and bicycle rentals. While I was out there, a deer was 25 feet away and wasn't even scared of me. More disney magic.

I will be posting directions / coordinates to the box in a little while. I also took pictures of where it is located and what it looks like just in case. You'll have to set aside about 30 minutes to find the box, sign it, do whatever like read the other info, and return to the lodge. It also makes a nice little hike!

I will be making a new thread that is for the Memory Box only and any discussion related to it. Anyone recommend a place to post it? RIght here in the resorts thread I guess?

Obviously, you can all imagine that today was a very busy day for me since I had LOTS to do to get ready for return to work tomorrow.
