Just hope that our ships don't sink with this hurricane coming in.

Our plane gets in at 7 PM on the 18th. Fred gave me his cell number and I gave him mine so hopefully we will be able to meet sometime during my short 5 day stay.

This year I have decided to be flexible with my itineray. I have one but it will be subject to change depending on the weather and what DS wants to do. Typically we leave in the morning and come back to the lodge after the parks close - we don't have to do the nap thing anymore (Hurray). Since we are at the lodge, I think I may be inclined to spend more time there than in the past. We usually take one day off from the parks but since we really only have 4 full days, I don't think we will this year.

I'll be wearing my green Mickey (although, I don't know what I can attach it to at the pool) as well, FloridaCat. Maybe we'll be able to stop by the pool on Saturday.

Fred - you should be checking into the lodge about now - hope all is well in the land of Magic

I was thinking the same thing!

Maybe one of these years we can plan a WL meet as FloridaCat suggested. That would be great!

FloridaCat just wanted to know if you have heard about a by-pass around Orlando's traffic...I beleive it's call the Greenbelt??? It also may be a toll road, I will be driving down Friday by myself and just hate driving I95 in the rain then all the traffic on I4. (just looking for another option)
Will try and check out the pool Saturday and look for Green Mickey's. Like rugratsmom I have my itinerary but plan on being very flexible...I love WDW in the rain, but I worked for Bellsouth to many years not to be respectful of any storm. (exp a class 5 hurricane)

May have to play some cards or checkers search for Hidden Mickey's. Nice place to meet would be over at the Villas in the Iron Spike Room it already has checkers and nice game tables....

You will get on I-4 at Daytona Beach. When you go over Lake Monroe, just after you have past the last exit to Deltona, stay in the right lane. There will be a large Mall, Sanford Towne Centre, on your left. There is a lot of construction in that area but traffic moves at speed, just be careful. Watch for the SR 417, Orlando International Airport exit. Stay in the right lane here as well as the ramp splits and take it down past the airport and there are signs to guide to you to WDW. The toll is about 4.00, there are “make change” booths.

You did not mention a time you would be coming through. WDW is a little over an hour from DB, if you come through there before 2:00 PM, then stay on I-4 to exit 64B. This exit is to MK, stay in the third from the right lane at MK entrance,, and tell the CM you are checking into WL and they will show you the green line on the road to follow.
If you come through DB after 6:00 PM I would stay on I-4..

The farthest gate to the right is for buses and the next is for CM’s, the next one has you lined up for FTW & WL.

If Isabel is going to force me to stay inside - where's the best bar to go to in WL cause that's were I'll be hanging out. FloridaCat can bring the deck of cards, MAGICinMYHEART can bring the checkers. At least we will be in Disney.

Does the Iron Spike Room have a good bar???

Thanks, I'll leave home appx 8:30am that would put me in Sanford about 10:30am, I've seen the shopping center you referred to. Do you think I should just stay on I-4 at that time in the monring?

Last trip home we sat in traffic appx 1 hour when we where on I-4.( Over turned truck) There always seems to be so much construction thru that section from Sanford to Altamonte Springs.

DisneyJoe - You will have a wonderful time! You sound like a thorough planner like me! It makes all the difference, though, and keeps things sailing along smoothly when you have a definate plan (one that is a little flexible, of course!). I'm curious why your friends didn't book WL if they are so eager to try it? It's much less than GF (I'd LOVE to book GF sometime in the future - we'll see!).

Does anyone know if the Germany pavillion in the world showcase has any Oktoberfest activities scheduled? And if so, waht dates will the festivities take place? Thanks for any info you have to share!!

Majestic – Sounds like you you’re off to a great vaca (other than the few minor incidents). I got POOPED on while staying at the Boardwark Villas – not once but twice when I was on the balcony. – YUCK – pretty disgusting.

It’s almost time – YIPEE!!!! Just finished cutting the grass, doing laundry now, hoping to start packing tonight and still have the house to clean. Won’t have any time during the next three days. Still backed up at work, have a ball game tomorrow night, open house for DS on Tuesday night, and a board meeting on Wednesday night. And DH will be out of town. Just hope I can get through the next couple of days. I’ll definitely need a rest come Thursday.
