No haven't been lurking....power outtage awhile back (old news now!!) and been busy planning and attending a brunch for our E.C.A. champs Senior squad cheerleaders {{YEAH!! GO LODI JR RAMS!! WOOHOO!!}} and DM-in-L birthday party on Sunday....whew, you guys sure are a CHATTY bunch!!!!
BTW ~ Me LIKES the JBJ (John BonJovi for the "unenlightened"!!) pic!!!

AND, speaking of vacations....I dunno, it was kinda SAD posting and reading on the DISboards last week, cuz' we were SUPPOSED to be there:( ! Anyhoo, been FRANTICALLY searchin' for good airfares to Orlando; we MAY be headin' that-a-way during the XMas/New Year's week! (not staying AT WDW, tho':( ) The cheerleaders I previously mentioned, were Grand National champions for their division in a competition last March at Williamsburg, Va. As 1st place finishers, they were invited to perform during half-time at the Capital One Bowl (formerly the Citrus Bowl) in Orlando for New Years' Day!! The package includes one day(durn!) at any WDW park, one day at Universal/Islands of Adventure, entry to the bowl game, pool parties, and loads of other extras! And, the best yet is, my WONDERFUL DH offered to treat our whole family (guilt is a WONDERFUL thing, ain't it???;) )

:D Glad you like it Kimmar!! Now that Fred was kind enough to show me how to do it.....it could get really dangerous around here:teeth: :teeth:

I do have a legitimate WL ??? today though!! Does anyone know if you are allowed to have swimmies and swim vest type of things at the pool??

thanks,

WOOHOO for the LODI JR RAMS. The Citrus Bowl is a blast and a good time is waiting for all of you.

Kimmar - nice to have you back.....you've been missed ;)

Corky - yes, you can use swimmie's and life vests. You can't use tubes or swim "toys"

Now for my question - that I'll ask AGAIN......I need pics of the Cub's Den.....someone has to have some.... :)

If nobody else gets them for ya, I will when we are there in 23 days. :)

Majestic Fred (how did you get that name, anyway!) - I still intend to send you my ten best WDW pics, I've just been too lazy to cut them down in size for emailing. I don't suppose you'd want to do that, eh? LOL

So I have to tell you guys about my Mission: Space experience. I seriously thought I was going to die. It wasn't the spinning that got to me, it was the G-Forces upon takeoff. You know that feeling you get when Rock-n-Roller Coaster takes off so fast? It was about 20 times more intense than that. I opened my mouth to scream, because I just felt so WRONG inside, but what came out was NOT a scream. It was some sound that I have never made before, and it came from somewhere inside me that scared me even more. My 12 YO son was sitting beside me, and the poor kid was scared about me when he heard that sound and reach over to grab my hand. I grabbed it right back. OH my God. What a ride. Too much for me, though. I won't be doing it again. My husband and FIL both rode it and got a little queasy; they were calling it Mission: Spew. :teeth:

...while my youngest DS and I DID visit the Cubs' Den last year, we did not take any pix. There are large tables to do art-and-craft projects, color, etc. Against one wall is a big screen, which play(what else??)Disney movies. Along the far wall kinda to your right as you enter the room are a few computers where the kids can sit and play on them. It's very colorful, and reminds me of a preschool....:D (btw ~ my DS had just turned 8 last year, and he loved it!)

OH MY GOD! Could this board have seen any more action in 2 days?! Whooaa!

Corky805 and the Fabulous Fred (aka "Majestic Man"!) (Sorry, if my jazzing your name bothers you Fred! ;) ) : YEAH!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for the JBJ picture (and what a picture you chose Corky!)!! Count me in with Tig-girl and the other fans! Saw him a week and a half ago -last show of the tour at Giants! :) This was my fifth time - also saw last show of the One Wild Night Tour at Giants. I think it's a tradition now. Hey, he promised to be back in 2005 so we'll have to reserve a section for the DIS fans! :p I'd send a picture but don't have a scanner to do it. . . I think I need one of those, right Fred?

Have ya'll noticed my countdown - aaahhh! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Disbug - Your boat dock info was extremely helpful! I was planning on a half hour before opening but GOOD to know that even sooner puts me a little ahead of the pack! GREAT!

Will get photos of my view (which would be oh-so-wonderful if upgraded from a standard ;) ) and the Cubs Den. Fred, you'll just have to give me info on how to send them. If we need a scanner, perhaps DH can send from work.

Last minute question- how cool will it be in the evenings (next week)? Will we need pants/sleeves? Is it very cool in the lodge? Thanks All!

Thanks Lora! Based on the description seen on other sites, I thought it seemed a little too intense for us. Your info confirms it! Mission Impossible for us! :jester:

I was just wondering about wear Roaring Forks and the Territory Lounge are in relation to some rooms. I believe they are midway down the north wing. Are there any rooms close by that you don't want to be in?

RF is in a hall facing the courtyard that is basicaly at the intersection of North wing A & B. There are no rooms nearby. Going towards the North wing after RF there is publice restrooms, elevaters. Across from the elevaters is a snack room, ice machine and guest laundry.

crack me up! :p Sometimes I just sit here and get a good laugh at these posts.

NJFabFour - your description of your experience on Mission Space really made me laugh. I know for sure I won't be going on that! I haven't even attempted the Rockin' Roller Coaster b/c my sister went on that during our last vacation and said she thought she was going to die. This is the same sister who told me that there was a nice family raft ride at Blizzard Beach and after I climbed up a million feet in the air, I saw people getting in a little rubber raft and dropping out of sight! I got out of line as fast as I could and walked back down to safety!

kimmar - did you start this whole thing with the pictures? I still don't know who your pictures are of, JBJ I know, but who is your guy?

Well I feel really out of it. I don't know who either of those "gorgeous" hunks are.

Should I????

:p I don't feel so bad now. I thought I was the only one who didn't know who kimmar's guy is. LOL So I can't help you there, but I'll give you a clue on the other one JBJ - he is a famous rock star. Where have you been?
