New amenity for Deluxe/Moderates

I just got this from my Disney Travel Agent newsletter:

New In-Room Amenity

Coffee makers are now available in all Walt Disney World® Resort Deluxe and Moderate resort hotel rooms.

Regular and decaffeinated coffee packages and condiments are now provided at no additional charge and will be replenished on a daily basis.

Forgot to add--it didn't say when it would be implemented but I'm guessing pretty quickly if it has been officially announced.

The friges are already being placed in all deluxes and are free. Not sure if all the moderates have them yet. When you check in, ask for one if it's not there.

Well, that is good news! When did they stop charging? I remember years ago we had them during our stays at the GF and BC. Then, sometime in 1997 maybe, they took them out and made them "by request only for $10/day". Maybe Disney has been paying attention to those post-stay questionaires.

Actually, I just got word from CRO themselves that there are now fridges in ALL the moderates. I was so excited since we will be there from Feb. 13 - 23, staying at CBR. Almost under 30 days . . .

Great News! and about time too. I cannot believe that it took them this long to get these. I stay at hotels while on the road that cost 1/3 of the price of Disney hotels and get coffee AND high speed internet FREE.

CRO is now aware too that the fridge is free. The CM this morning said my ressie said fridge at no charge now. Before, my ressie said $10 per night charge.

WE were at the Coronado mid December and our coffee maker and fridge were already in place.....guess they don't send the info our in our
TA DMails till all resorts are in place....

I am soooo happy about the coffee being in the room. That way I don't have to stumble about the resort looking for some in my morning zombie-like state, LOL.

I'm not telling DH...he always gets mine in the morning from Mara. I don't want to make if myself. How lazy is that?!?!

CBR had both fridge and coffeemaker when we were there in early December.

We were just at the Poly but no fridge. We didn't need it but I kind of expected it to be there. There was a coffee pot which they kept stocked as I used it every morning! Not as good as Kona's though!

We too had a coffee maker in our room at the Poly in December. I requested a refrigerator as there wasn't one in the room (?? wondered if it was due to the upcoming refurb) and they wheeled one to our room within a half hour. It had to sit on the floor, but it sure was nice to have it. I bought Kona coffee and made my own coffe every morning. It was great!!
