"New" AK Incentive..SSR update

Thank you LisaS & drusba I realize there is no difference owning at KV vs. JH as far as making a ressie. They are both considered AKV. However, the current incentives are only for KV. Is that right? Also am I correct in thinking that all the 1 bedroom value view's are in Jambo? Is Jambo decorated any differently than KV will be? I realize the rooms are smaller. Thanks for your help.

I think all the value rooms will be in the Jambo house thats the rooms that were converted into DVC rooms so thats where all the value rooms are.The decorations will all be the same

Guess I am confused. I did just look at our paperwork and it was for Unit 64A. However we were told we would get June 2008 UY points obviously come June. Am I reading that this may not be right? I guess the confusing part for me is where some folks say you can't make reservations until xx date?

Ok - just read more of the documentation and it does appear we cannot use these points (even though we get them starting June of this year (08)) with AKV or any other DVC. But does anyone know if we can use them for DCL?

You can do this over the phone you dont have to be there. If you need a guide let me know mine is great.

ok.. now I am getting confused. With this new updated akv purchase/incentives does it include a $500 gift card with a referral as well? I don't want to sound greedy but I don't want to lose out either. Thanks for any info!

No it does not.The way to get the 500 GC would be to buy in at SSR.

You can't use the AKV '08 points anywhere until after May 1, 2009. We just got 64A too

Ugh - that's not what we were told when we went to purchase. Our whole reasoning for adding on at this time was because we have a cruise in December. We were going to go ahead and move that existing reservation over to MS and convert our 2008 points and developer points (which our guide did verify we could move the developer points over) to be used for our cruise.

Hi. Just bought into AKV- KV on Friday, so thought this might answer some questions. The incentives we got were just what was mentioned above -
$8 discount
matching VPO (developer, i guess?) pts to be used w/in 1yr at SSR or II only
UY pts in June '08, can't be used until 5/1/09 (occupancy date for unit 64A)

So if you get June UY 08 points which can't be used until 5/1/09 does that mean you have 1 month to use the 08 points? I'd think you'd lose them on 6/1/09.

You should definitely check with them then because they may have specially put that incentive in for you, if you requested it. They changed ours just a bit - the dev pts were to expire in exactly one year (3/21/09), but we got them to extend it by 10 days, to 3/31. So call them, you may be able to use those points if that's what they told you. I know for sure we can't though.

Yes. We have to bank them. But the upside is, no mf until '09, and we got matching dev pts on top of that.

If (hoping the offer will still be on in Aug?) we bought 250 AKL points in Aug, would we then get 250 extra points to use at AKL during 09, and 250 point to use at SSR which we would have to use by AUg 09?

Hope that makes sense? We can only go in Aug at the moment due to school hols, so we would want to use all our points in Aug 09. Have I got the new incentive correct?

I think that you are missing one more set of 250 points in this example as you would get your 2008 points too. You would bank the 08 points since they can not be used until May 09. Did I get that right?

You then have 250 SSR develope points that can be used in the meantime.

Can someone else jump in to confirm the 08 points for us? This is what I understood but it is entirely possible that I am confused on the 08 points. Since we are a Dec UY we are still in 07 so our stuff gets really complicated.

Anyway.....can anyone confirm/deny?

For the SSR points I understood that those were only good at SSR or II exchange. Again, someone please correct me if this is not correct.
