It made it cheaper for everyone, including owners, who get the first pick. So if the decrease moves more owners to the Savannah rooms there may be less available at 7 months for non owners. I know I for one am more likely to go Savannah over Resort view now

Sure if there is availability... but honestly unless it is high season, AKV tends to have decent availability at 7 months. AKV is not BWV or BCV.

agree. Watched so many uproars over the years (and I’m just a short timer at 16.5 years of owning). In time, people forget or maybe better term is worry about the next shiny object.

Anyone really think DVC owners will be complaining when all the MK expansion, AK expansion, Monsters Inc coaster, etc make tens of millions want to attend WDW for several years? I think people will be thrilled owning DVC because it means years/decades of family memories experiencing new in ovations from a family oriented company.

Good advice with only two years in for me, it’s probably better to focus on the big picture. My family has such a wonderful time at the resorts, I can’t imagine not owning DVC.

I think you may be right and I read this backwards for the increase...they can't vote a certain way unless 60% of the unit agrees with the vote they will cast....

But its still by unit...not by the all owners....so, you if you have one unit that has 95% of the owners vote no, and two units that have just 60% at yes, you still get two yes votes, even if the total % of all three units might not be at 60%

Getting everyone to vote a certain way isn't easy and why I said that it is almost impossible to have an influence...if they asked to raise the % of the fee paid to DVCMC, and gave a reason that makes sense to owners, many will probably agree to let it happen.

What I dont understand is this

There are 18 value studios.

There are 57 savanna views at Jambo and 108 at Kidani. That’s a total of 165 savanna view studio rooms.

The increase for a week is 7 x 18 =126 points for value studios.

For club level studios its 14 x 5 = 70 points

The decrease for savanna view studios are: 7 x 165 =1.155 points.

If they can’t make an adjustment across room types then this does not add up?

I think they just have to divide it up so it evens out, your math just isn't deep enough. They cal move things around all they want within the chart, but they can't add or remove any point value. The total still had to be the same.
