anybody have anything to say abotu this place? positive or negative?

its our anniversary during our trip, so we would like that night to ourselves if possible

My kids enjoyed the Neverland Club so much that they ask to go back each time we visit. They enjoy escaping from the parks to play video games and interact with other kids.

Our 3 ds loved it there when they were little. They begged us to go back the next night to use their own allowance for it. They have a buffet dinner, give you a beeper, go up little stairs and get sprinkled with pixie dust. They have areas for disney movies and resting with pillows, had a teepe with a granny weaving some hair braid things, little ds was the spinner for mickey mouse bingo game going on and the older 2 ds were immersed in their "FREE" video games, we were at the luau for our anniv. too. It was very well supervised, saw 1 male cast member and there was not one screaming or crying kid, good indication of success for me. You must make a reservation for it.

We took our DSs there ( 6 & 4 at the time) and they had a blast. We did check it out the day before with our sons and we all felt very comfortable with the club.

Our boys loved the free video games! We then hopped on the monorail and went to dinner at California Grill. Very nice evening for everyone.

My dd loved that club when she was there. She was 5 1/2 at the time. I would have used it again this last trip for both girls (8 and 5) but we were at AKL and so we used the club there instead.

What did you think of the ALK club? We're staying there in November for our 10th anniversary and were hoping to put the kids there for a few hours to have a quiet dinner.

My two kids stayed there three years ago for two hours while we had dinner at Kona. When we returned the caregivers detailed every activity my kids had participated in, and exactly what they ate. I knew they were telling the truth because I know what my kids' (weird) eating habits are.

My 9 YO son got teary at one point, and they almost paged us, but they really spent time with him and got him through it. The year after that they stayed at the Beach Club for kids and got the same, great, attention.

My kids (5 & 9) have stayed at the clubs at the Polynesian (11/03) and the AKL (06/03) and loved them both. The first time we left them for 2 hours and they said it wasn't enough time so the next time they stayed for three hours. DS9 likes the Neverland club best since they serve pizza and he is a VERY picky eater.

I wouldn't hesitate to leave them at either club. In fact, we are hoping to leave them at Neverland Club during our next trip.

I was debating whether to leave my 8 and 6 year old boys at the Neverland Club and I have to say that you've convinced me! I have no idea what the spouse and I will do with grown up time  but I'm sure we can come up with something.

If I may ask, how soon in advance did you make your reservations?

I used it and love it they give you a pager and they will page u if there is a prob, and they don't mind when you call and check in on your child, they are great

my boys loved this place....

I think they went twice the last time we were there. It was great to have some adult time while they enjoyed themselves also. Sadly enough, my oldest will be 12 this year when we go so this will be his last year for it.....he still talks about it and we haven't been in 2 years...LOL

I don't think you have any concerns. (for the record: the first time my boys stayed there, they were 6 and 9....been hooked every since...they are now 9 and 12) :)

enjoy your adult time!

2 years ago my DD was 4 and we walked over to the Neverland Club just to see what it was all about. My DD goes to daycare everyday and she is very used to me dropping her off and coming back later. As the CM showed me around my DD went off wandering around like she was in heaven. When it was time to go she was absolutly devostated and begged me to stay. She didn't because we had PS's at Ohanas that night, but in the end I wish I would have let her stay because she ate nothing for dinner and my money would have been better spent at the club.

This year we are going with her new sister, 13 months old, and we are going to let her spend some time there while we go out with the baby. This way she can have some fun time alone.

From what I saw of the facility it was very well supervised, very clean, and very fun. I can hardly wait to surprise my DD about her going there, she will be thrilled.:bounce:

I only made the ressies 2 weeks ago for spring break week so DH & I can have dinner at CG. Frankly, I was shocked they could get a spot.

The cost is $10 per child per hour. I'm not certain if that changes whether they eat there or not.

I'll post my impression when we get back to Austin on 3/20!!

Just bumping to let everyone making Neverland Club plans that they are down for refurbishment but are keeping the kids in the Tangaroa Terrace. I made reservations the day I planned to leave them (6/10) and was surprised to get them in with no problems. When we dropped them off there were fewer than six kids there. When we picked them up, same thing. Hardly any kids there at all.

It was well worth the money paid for the DH and I to have a little alone time. ;) The boys loved it (despite being housed in a less "festive" area) and wanted to go back every night! This will definitely become a Disney ritual for us as long as they're young enough to go!
